We were the only ones who spoke English. Pro Tip #1. The owner flew over to tell us what is what. Then ProTip #2 – he told us what his family favorites were. Winner. Best breakfast in Nashville. No promotion- we just found these cats on google.

I had the beef Taco Salad and it was fantastic! The tortilla is light, flaky and airy. Highly recommended.

The food was tasty and fresh. I was looking for a good place to enjoy some Oaxacan food and I would recommend this place. The place is not that big but it makes up for it in it’s big taste. I would say, that at the moment they only accept cash. Overall a very delicious place to enjoy some regional Mexican food. 🙂

Great place, the atmosphere is amazing, the place is small, and not much parking.
But we are here for the food! Which is amazing, and based on Oaxaca gastronomy, Oaxaca is one of the states from Mexico.
The mole is great and Oaxacan tamales are tasty.
If you enjoy Oaxaca gastronomy you have to try it.

We had supreme tlayudas. We are from Oaxacan descent. We are so disappointed. The supreme Tlayuda was far from being Supreme. One, it was missing Quesillo. The quesillo is the trade mark of Oaxaca Mexico. The supreme is to have the chorizo, cecina, and adobada.
When you eat one of these true tlayudas, you can usually finish half of one.
At the end we were told that they had run out of Quesillo, but actually they were so mediocre.
What is worst I brought some friends to eat and impress. I brag so much about the place, that they were just as disappointed.
However they were very quick to charge full price.
I will never come back.
Good luck if you decide to go eat there.

I had the enmoladas. They were very very good, and I would go back and eat here in a heartbeat. The only complaint I have is that the music was somewhat loud and the service was a little unprofessional. However, the food was amazing and they were playing music that I like so I had a good time!

It is worthy of admiration when an entrepreneur wants to offer authentic regional food, specifically Mexican gastronomy which is extremely difficult to prepare, especially when fresh ingredients are not for sale in a country that is more used to Tex-Mex cuisine. The cuisine of the state of Oaxaca is one of the best in the world and it is applauded that they want to try it. But exporting the ingredients sometimes does not necessarily justify the cost of the dishes, especially at the restaurant’s location. They are doing well but something is still missing. Shy and overrated kitchen.

Wow… amazing! I came for breakfast with my wife (whose family is from Oaxaca), had the enmoladas. The molé was outstanding- probably the best I’ve had. Will definitely be coming back to try some of their other dishes!
