Interesting flavors. Beautiful view. Beef and chicken are good. Flavors in rice and beans are very light. Topping cheese is lovely. Be wary of the specialty drinks… the flavors may surprise you. Give it a try with good company. Parking may vary, come between 4 and 5 for best options.

We had a party of four reservation. Beautiful seating right next to the beach. We had the additional pleasure of a beautiful sunset. Nachos and sauce are not free to the table so there is a minor charge. The salsa for the chips is unique. it was flavorful but it was different from any other Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to and not a big fan of it. I tried their octopus which was cooked to perfection, very tender, just delicious. They have a butterscotch pot de cream dessert also that is very tasty that we had. We ordered margaritas. Typically we would order a half pitcher of margaritas when we go to our favorite Mexican restaurant however on Maui you cannot order drinks by the pitcher. The margaritas that were served were very flavorful nice size and reasonably priced and they were well made.

Tried to make reservations and were unable to. Were able to get a table though. The food was good although a little pricey. The staff was nice and we were a le to get tea refills but getting a diet soda refill was much more difficult. The guacamole was huge and came with its own chips. The salsa verde was a little bland but the pork had a good flavor.

Great food, great service, incredible views! I could turn around and watch whales jumping way out in the channel. Absolutely A great place.
It started out with just three of us and eventually they added three more to our table and were super accommodating. Couldn’t have been more gracious and we had a blast.
We all shared the dessert…

We wanted Mexican food so on the recommendation of our concierge we went. We had a super friendly server named Michelle who helped us navigate the menu. Food was excellent! Loved the cilantro lime rice! There is ala carte items like one taco etc. that isn’t listed on the menu and Michelle also brought us a small guacamole that wasn’t listed. Great service! Everyone works together, filling drinks, clearing plates and taking care of you! Beautiful view while we dined outside.

There was a long wait for a table when we got there, but bar seating is first come first serve so we ate at the bar. The view is amazing for sunset. They have a great selection of tequilas. For food, go for the seafood options. The ceviche was SO fresh. Asked for their house made mango habanero hot sauce, it’s sweet with a spicy kick and perfect on tacos.

This was one of our favorite meals during our 7 night stay in Maui. Wet burrito and the pork enchiladas were phenomenal. Great views, breezy comfortable seating. Nice staff. Go here!!

Stumbled here on a whim. Service was friendly and efficient. The food and drinks were delicious. This is a casual setting situated right on the beach. They have plentiful portions and the food is tasty. Highly recommended if you’re looking for casual Mexican in an excellent location.

I walked out of Fridas with mixed feelings. I loved the ambiance and the service but did not care for the food. Being from Texas, I have been spoiled with both TexMex and authentic Mexican. Unfortunately, Fridas did not hit the mark on either one.

We came in on a Monday evening (party of 5) around 8ish. Restaurant had a few other patrons and we were seated very quickly. Unfortunately we came at night and couldn’t get the view of the ocean but I could imagine it to be gorgeous in the day time. There was a nice breeze through the entire restaurant because of this so it was well appreciated especially since there were only fans in the restaurant.

Our waitress was amazing! Once she found out that the entire party was vegetarian (she is too), she made personal recommendations. We decided to get a few dishes and share them family style which was a great option because the portions are quite generous.

For the appetizer, we started out with the guacamole (3/5) and cactus fries (4/5). I would intrigued with the guacamole because it had cotija cheese and pomegranate. It was not that impressive – the pomegranate added a nice crunch but the cheese ruined the fresh vegetable taste. The cactus fries were good if you like cactus (to me, it tasted like a hard boiled okra).

Now, for the main meals – overall, I think I would rate all the dishes a 2-3/5 except for the corn cotija (which I would give a 4/5). My husband got the chille rellano which was subpar. They smothered what it seemed like was a salsa/enchilada sauce which made it very soggy. There was no crisp to the chille rellano, it was just a soggy mess. Their manchego crusted quesadilla was a bit on the sweet side and the goat cheese was good but overpowering after a bit. The corn cotija was good and the only thing worth packing to bring back home. It could have used a bit more of a kick but nothing that couldn’t be fixed.

Overall, a good place to check out because of the location and ambiance but not the food.

We got in here bcoz the two other places that we wanted to were too busy. What a good thing to be, we had a great time here, the service is impeccable and you can feel the warmth from hostess to waitress, the food which is the main point in my reviews was pretty good as well, I dint expect Mexican food to be this good in Hawaii and I have had Mexican food in Mexico. The location cannot be better because outdoor seating is overlooking the ocean. Overall 5 star and definitely recommend.
