The food is awesome. Nice selection without overwhelming with a huge menu. Love the specials on the board.
Great soup. Food is made with spices to enhance the flavors. 5, service is great. I did get here at a time thar was not busy, but the waitresses are on the move, no bars hold here. My waitresses was at my table 4 times making sure I didn’t need anything or wanted more. 5,
Love the rustic look inside. Plenty of seating. Comfortable and cozy. Some goof ball had their walker in the middle of the walkway, I just moved it to get through. I know you’re handicapped, but be considerate of others. It’s a folding walker. Be polite to others.
Great place to go just for a sandwich or full meal. Priced right too. No complaints on food, waitresses or pricing.

We were vsiting from Utah and decided to stop in. Inside it feels really comfortable. The onion soup was amazing. The Little John was amazing. The cheeseburger was amazing. When the server asked how I would like my burger done we knew the kitchen knew their stuff. Our server was great. I loved that the food was so good and affordable.
Quick tip: Remember your sunglasses for when you leave. It’s very dimly lit so when you go back into the daylight you may need time to adjust before you can drive.

My salad was good. Not many gf options which I knew going in….wanted a bloody but I think the waitress was either uninterested or too busy to check the mix to see what it was/if it was gf. Unfortunately, I can’t trust things that are “probably” a standard used mix. My friend said her foccacia bun was very good and fluffy!

This was my first time visiting in 38 years. They discontinued the toga & robe uniforms just last August 2024, and replaced them with maroon polo tops. I suppose that’s a sign of the times. The restaurant exterior and interior are exactly as remembered, with 2 small stained glass windows providing all of the natural light inside. It’s a neat place, uniquely original. The wait staff was friendly and the food was deliciously filling.

The hostess was quite rude. We stayed and the waitress saved our visit. Salad was really good, cheese burger a full meal. I’d go back. Hopefully the hostess is in a better mood!

Our waitress was very nice but forgot a side when she brought out our food. No big deal. Our waitress was super busy so I approached the bar to ask for our fries and none of the young girls paid any mind to me. The food is where you really lost me. Simple chicken sandwich and it had a light sprinkling of browning shredded lettuce, unseasoned chicken breast, on a cold soggy foccacia bun. Not even edible so left it on the plate. $50 for a subpar burger with fries and a chicken sandwich with cheese nuggets. Won’t ever be back. Which is a bummer because we used to love going to Friars.

Atmosphere is dark, but it is supposed to be where Friars live. Food is great. Got the french onion soup, roast beef sandwich(french dip), sweet potato fries that is served with a yogurt sauce(I think). Finsihed with key lime cheesecake and sprecher rootbeer. Yum.

A quaint and friendly atmosphere.
Location and environment.
The location was great off the main strip and plenty of parking around. The building it self has a theme like the name and is a great style to it. The environment is dark and gives you a tavern feel.
Food and drink.
The food and good, some frozen items that have been warmed up but there is a great selection and it all taste great. Big portions for small prices. Great for families or sports fans and everyone in between. The drinks list is good and even had seasonal drinks like pumpkin lager.
Service and atmosphere.
The service was great and fast. It was a lively environment with a lot of customers from an older population, so you know its good.
Great place to stop in and dine if on the road. They could encompass the theme more into the restaraunt menu and beyond. Love to stop here again.
