I recently discovered Freshly Pho, a charming family-run Vietnamese spot on Newton Road in Campbelltown, and it quickly became my new favorite for authentic Asian cuisine. As a family business, you can really feel the passion and care they put into every dish – it’s like eating at a relative’s home, but with restaurant-quality flavours!

We started with their crispy spring rolls, which were perfectly golden and packed with fresh veggies and pork – the accompanying dipping sauce was spot on. For mains, the combination beef pho was a standout: generous portions of tender beef in a rich, aromatic broth that’s full of depth and not overly sweet. My partner went for the lemongrass chicken with fried rice, and it was fresh, flavourful, and had just the right amount of spice.

We also tried the quail, which arrived hot and juicy with a delicious kick. The service was warm and attentive; the staff were patient with our questions and gave great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual family dinner or quick takeaway. Prices are reasonable, and everything felt fresh and made with quality ingredients.

If you’re in the Adelaide area craving Vietnamese food, do yourself a favor and check out Freshly Pho – it’s worth the visit, and I’ll definitely be back soon!

Really, really good, Pho. Only one size and not all the varieties you would get in Chinatown or the more Vietnamese populated areas, but the flavour of the broth was amazing!

I was expecting less, considering the area is not known for Vietnamese food and more catered for an older Aussie demographic. I was very pleasantly surprised the second I tried the Pho. Good beef and generous amount with an amazing flavour!

Crispy chicken with fried rice was also really good. Nice produce, fresh and flavourful. Crispy skin, nice sauce, and a good balanced fried rice with some nice (lightly) pickled vegetables. Very authentic!

Service was good, and it’s a nice spot.

It’s definitely worth a visit, and it’s definitely recommended. I will be returning, and I will get a photo before I start eating next time!

Ordered the Rare Beef Noodle Soup, Pork and Prawn Wontons, and the Salt and Pepper Squid. The noodle soup was definitely my favourite as the broth was light yet full of flavour. The wontons were incredibly crispy and delicious and the squid was cooked to perfection. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and provided a comforting atmosphere and professional customer service. Pricing matched the portion size nicely and would definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the mood for Vietnamese cuisine. 10/10

Very watery Laksa dish. It didn’t have that typical spicy curry laksa flavor. Some of the veggies (roughly chopped) are way too large and crunchy to be in the dish. Maybe cut ito smaller pieces.

This dish is a normal noodle soup with added vegetables and seafood. Maybe stick to making your freshly Vietnamese dishes, instead of trying to create something you’re not familiar with.

Had a great lunch here. The quality of the food and portion size is really good for the price so it is good value. Nice and clean open space and staff are friendly. Very fast service too, food was at the table very quickly after ordering. Hope to be back soon.

Freshly Pho continues to be a treasure for the Campbelltown/Newton area. Tonight we had Tom Kha soup, spring rolls, Sizzling Prawns, Fried Rice and Lemongrass chicken It was so delicious, with all plates cleaned up. A nice red wine for some and a couple of delicious Vietnamese Coffees had also.
We cannot fault this place, as we have always had excellent food, service and deliveries . Perfect
Please continue to support our local family Owned gem.

Service at Freshly Pho was fast & friendly.
I tried the Bún bò Huế (Spicy Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup) and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

The soup was fresh, but compared to others I have had, it was definitely lacking in flavour (not salty enough).

Some fish sauce and shrimp paste could have helped, but it was unavailable. Typically, in any “traditional Viet” restaurant, these condiment are readily available on the table.

Also, Bún bò Huế is usually served with fresh shredded lettuce & banana heart/flower (see my photo) both of these items were missing

The Viet Iced coffee tasted ok, but need more ice, as once you added the percolated coffee/condensed milk mixture, the glass ended up being half empty.

Freshly Pho was worth a try, but I won’t be returning or recommending, there are much better Viet eateries within driving distance.

Namely, The Parade Norwood or Magill Road, both of which have great Vietnamese places (which I have previously Google Reviewed)
