It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review- but here I am. Our food took 24 mins to come out, and it was only half right. The food was barely cooked and not hot. The toast was dry and cold. The price of the coffee was a joke $3.55 a cup??? , you pour it yourself and the creamers took a knife to open. These positive reviews are from years ago- don’t be fooled.

Jaclyn was amazing! She was very attentive and informative. Very pleasant. In today’s society customer service is dwindling away and she brought hope to the industry. I got the Mediterranean omelette and it was amazing. The sourdough toast was perfect. The potatoes were good but cold so that is why I gave a 3 star. Overall experience great! A lot of good for the money spent.

My group of 3 arrived at the restaurant shortly afternoon. The menu offered a good variety of lunch and breakfast choices at reasonable prices. Two of us ordered the chicken and rice creamy soup with a half chicken salad sandwich. Delicious. The third person order steak fajitas. Also, delicious. The staff took care of us and the food was served in a timely manner.

This is a a delightful little diner that has been a staple in the Chicagoland area for over 25 years. The owner regularly remodels the environment for a new modern look every few years. The food is amazing as is the service. They have a special Children’s menu which is always appreciated for those with young children. The feel and princess are small town but the quality of food and service is definitely a family friendly environment.

I grew up in Elmhurst, and had gone here over the years and always liked the food. Went back for the first time in a few years and it was even better than I remember it. The omelettes are amazing. They put extra cheese in them and some sort of sauce?
But the real highlight was three older men who are regulars at the place, one is a war veteran. They had their newspapers out, chatting sports and life. It was pretty awesome honestly! They talked to the owner, who seems like a really nice guy. My waitress was great too. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the ambiance. 5 stars for the service. A true Elmhurst treasure.

Today was our first time at Fresh Start and we will be back again and again ! Very prompt friendly service, Perfectly prepared food, big portions, great prices too ! They are open for breakfast and lunch. Go there !
