The Coffman Review
I recently met up with a long-time family friend at Fresh Pots Coffee Bar in “old town” Greenwood. It’s a place she goes to sit quietly on the porch and read while enjoying breakfast and coffee. I felt honored to have been invited.
She gave me a quick tour of Fresh Pots’ new location— a converted home on Madison Avenue— pointing out the two floors and variety of hard and soft seating. I loved the rich color palette and framed art covering the walls and at least one ceiling. ️
For breakfast we ordered:
Iced Honey Latte
Classic Bagel Sammy w/bacon
Iced Campfire Mocha (Fall Menu)
Avocado Toast w/tomato
The Campfire Mocha was rich with a smooth chocolate flavor. The Avocado Toast was good but simple. Flaky salt and some black pepper would’ve kicked it up a notch. The sourdough had a nice density that held up to the toppings.
We ate at a beautiful two-top marble table and talked for over an hour about family, religion, childhood, and how people often over-complicate love. I enjoyed catching up.
Fresh Pots Coffee Bar would be a great place to work remotely, have a meeting, read a book, or sit quietly while surrounding yourself with art and coffee. Check them out if you’re in the area! ☕️

Super chill coffee shop in Greenwood! Since they moved their location, the atmosphere got a bit warmer and brighter. It’s really cozy inside and outside, and if you’re lucky, you may get to pet the coffeeshop mascot “Cortado”. Our drinks were great, though if you want a classic cappuccino, ask for a latte.

Such a cute little coffee shop. I love the decor! It was busy but there were still a lot of places to sit. I ordered a hot cafe miel and the classic bagel sandwich and a cookie. The food was good, but I really enjoyed the latte. I order a cafe miel at pretty much ever coffee shop I go to and this was the best rendition I have had in awhile!
Also while there isn’t any parking at the coffee shop they have a helpful sign out front with parking information and the free public parking is very close by.

This new location is so nice. There are little areas to sit and relax everywhere you look. They have some game tables and some books for kids to read. The food is good. And they have so many different kinds of drinks and add-ins. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were very helpful.

Really cute coffee shop! Love the decorations. Also we were walking around greenwood and saw the new building this place will be at. To the owners there is a SWEET and cute cat. Someone is feeding and loving on it. I hope she can stay! And i hope someone will adopt her or allow her to stay! She has a collar but it only shows she has had her vaccinations.

Me and my girlfriend were heading to Ft Wayne and decided to pull off and fund a local spot. This place was really nice! The parking situation is a little rough on the left side of the building, but the quality of my drink and the interior were both really great! They have a lot of unique specialty lattes and I’d recommend any traveller to stop by!

I liked the decor a lot and the bat. Parking was rough. The coffee was good, I didn’t love my drink but I think that was due to what I ordered. Simon liked his drink and it was a nice first stop on our trip!

Food is delicious, service is good. However , purchased a cortado which was about 4 0z of straight espresso, which was significantly smaller than expected with little milk is supposed to be 1/2 milk espresso. cozy atmosphere with very little seating and customers tend to stay way past finish their food and drinks. may need to encourage customers to leave once finished for other patrons wanting to eat and drink in house as well, this may be costing in the long run. 1 customer had an entire large table with playing cards for the long hall and two ladies were at a table for at least 45 minutes after finishing their food /drinks. plan on getting your food /drinks to go

A gem. The BEST pumpkin spice latte in town (coffee pictured) Cortado the cat also kept me some company and slept in the chair across from me at my table. He knew this middle school teacher needed an emotional support animal while grading a crazy amount of exams!
