A Post-Workout Must-Have!
I can’t say enough good things about The Fresh Monkee in Braintree , this place is an absolute gem! It’s located right next door to the Planet Fitness I go to, which makes it the perfect post-workout stop. Whether I’m coming out of a tough lift session or just finishing some cardio, I’m always looking forward to grabbing one of their amazing smoothies.
The staff is incredible, super friendly, fast, and always happy to help with recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do, and it makes the whole experience feel welcoming and positive every time I stop in.
And the smoothies? Unreal. Whether you’re into something fruity and refreshing, protein-packed, or more indulgent like their “Monkey” blends (which taste like dessert but are still healthy!), every drink is perfectly blended and consistently delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and I always leave feeling refueled and satisfied.
If you go to Planet Fitness (or even if you don’t), The Fresh Monkee is 100% worth checking out. It’s become a regular part of my routine, and I honestly can’t imagine not having it there.

The protein smoothies and shakes are really good. The Strawberry moon has the least amount of sugar. Protein source is whey.
The interior is super clean and and staff is always friendly. This is a great place for a protein shake. If you workout at the gym next door, this might be an option for you based on how strict your diet is.

So today Sept 22, 2025 at 10:27 I came in routinely to buy a pb mass. Typically I’m greeted as I enter and the staff is amazing. Today the girl was seated in the corner, back of the store hanging out on her phone. No greeting, I walked over and greeted her and she stood there silently. Let me start off by saying I’m fully aware of the discount you get for being a planet fitness member. I was also told by other staff that usually if they don’t ask if you’re a member, they would apply it to the order at the end even if they don’t ask. I had my shaker and headphones in hand if that wasn’t a giveaway. She took my order without saying a word. The energy she gave the gentleman behind me was completely different. He was caucasian. Which none of this came to mind till I was driving home and reflected on everything. When she finished, she handed me my order. I said thank you and again she said nothing. Kinda cringe. Given how old she may have been based off her looks, I would hate to assume it’s because I’m hispanic. So to conclude my experience, she charged me almost $15.38 for what should have been $12 and some change with the discount. How can I not speculate…..
