I got three vegetarian tacos and a side of rice and beans, plus salsa and guac. The total was a little over $12 after tax and a 20% tip. An unfathomable price in the big 2025, and I didn’t even get the lunch special! Highly recommend if you’re in the downtown Detroit area.

Ordered an ultimate nachos for $9.49 Hardly any meat. Just a lot of tortillas. I ordered the steak tacos for the lunch special for $7.49. The steak was nothing but gristle and chewy. Facility when we arrived was clean. We waited about 10 minutes for our food. No other customers were present. Rate 2/5

I had been wanting to try this place for a while now. The food was ok, I’ve had much better Mexican food. The wait time wasn’t long and the service was good. I ordered the marinated ground beef quesadilla combo with beans and rice. The quesadilla was of much better quality than the sides.

Tacos express is what it is……..the room needs some serious cleaning and ventilation, way too stuffy and the tables are filthy. The tacos are good in a pinch, though.

Ate here today while on a break from jury duty. Ordered fish tacos. Food took about 5 minutes to show up but fish was hot, corn tortillas were fresh, medium salsa was perfect, and beans / rice were tasty. I have one more day of duty, might stop in again. Inside was a bit warm, could have turned the AC up as air was a bit stagnant at the tables but food quality was excellent and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very good fish tacos. The tilapia has been cooked perfectly both times I have been. The place is a no frills Mexican restaurant with good prices and quick service. Salsa bar is nice with many different types of salsa for free. Mostly a carry-out but there is some seating, although not a table service type of establishment. They have a wide variety of Mexican sodas as well from coke to sprite to squirt and jarritos.

Best authentic fast casual Mexican in all of downtown. Tacos are cheap and piled with meat. The burritos are some of the best I have ever had. The large serve yourself salsa bar is amazing. Place gets pretty busy for lunch. The breakfast menu is amazing as well
