REVIEW UDATED: 6/22/24
I visited today to get pita bread and the cooked beef pies. The beef pies were good but I noticed they lacked beef inside, it was all pie and very little beef. I also decided to try the in house fluffy pita bread and it is delicious. You get plenty of fresh bread for $3.99. I also decided to try the triangle baklava; I ordered 6 pieces for 8.99. This is where my experience fell flat. The baklava was thin, little to no nuts in the layer, notice I say layer, if there were layers it was only dough and no honey nut layer inbetween. The baklava did not taste fresh at all, it tasted stale and had a freezer or uncovered refrigerator taste. It actually had a cleaner taste, like the refrigerator or freezer was cleaned and the baklava absorbed that taste and flavor. I was extremely disappointed since I will be throwing $8 dollars and 99 cents in the garbage. ( I wish I would’ve read the review about the baklava on here because I couldn’t agree more with their assessment). My new review reflects 4 stars instead of 5 for the terrible baklava. I did notice the outside pita bread did not have an expiration date but they felt fresh and it is my experience that the bread always taste good so I bought some anyway.
The man was friendly and greeted me but the lady that was in the front of the store when I walked in was not friendly. ♀️ I quickly got what I needed and I didn’t wait to check out, the man in the back behind the counter asked if I was checking out and he promptly followed me to the register. We engaged in casual chit-chat, I checked out and left, the lady never came back to the front of the store while I was there.
reasonably priced & wonderful & welcoming customer service! Our new place to shop.
