I’ve ordered from Fish House a few times and the food itself is good quality and well seasoned. However, the portions could be larger for the price.
My last pickup experience was disappointing. I went in to grab a call-ahead order for my family and was finishing paying when I asked for sauces because they weren’t in the bag. While I was focused on the card machine, another employee, shorter with glasses, placed a small bag next to mine. After paying, I grabbed both bags assuming the smaller one had the sauces. Instead of calmly explaining, she aggressively snatched the bag out of my hand and gave me a nasty look. I apologized, but the interaction was extremely disrespectful, distasteful, and unnecessary.
The food may be good, but customer service matters. That experience left a bad taste in my mouth. If you don’t mind poor customer service during pickup, you may still enjoy this place. Otherwise, I would recommend the new Captain Jay’s off of Telegraph or the Manhattan Fish and Chicken location on Joy Road for both good food and better service.

My family has been buying seafood from Fresh Fish House for years. We enjoy their reasonably priced food and they even offer deeper discounts Tuesdays. During the past six months or so, the food has gotten even better. Clean restaurant. Customer service is solid and dependable. I appreciate the team’s familiar faces. Despite how challenging my day may be, I am always greeted with a smile and pleasant greetings. A quick chat with one of the team members helps to take my mind off of the world’s worries. It feels like I’m dropping by a family member’s house. I truly appreciate the dependable good food and service. We are a family of picky eaters. When someone spends their hard earned money on food, they want it to taste great and be served by professional and kind people. Mission accomplished. The team understands the assisgnment and has been delivering repeatedly. Thanks so much for doing what you do so well. I should know each of your names by now, but dont worry. I will add them soon, because I believe in giving credit to great customer service and great food.

The service when ordering is abysmal and super rude, it almost makes you not want to order but I went ahead with it and ordered for me and my mom.
The food came out hot and fresh, they definitely don’t have the best quality fish but it tasted clean and was fried well. The portions were decent for the price although they don’t give a lot of normal condiments unless you ask.
All in all for a Fish house I give it 3.2/5 Flames
Might try again but most likely for the wings on their deal days.

They in this place trying to cheat people like I don’t know what my fish tastes like I ordered orange roughy earlier today at the fresh fish place on Woodward before I got my hair done it was great hot and the fish was thick and all white meat. Fast forward I wanted another dinner so my job is in Redford so I came to this one on telegraph TOTAL OPPOSITE …. My fish was perch they over charged me like I don’t know what perch tastes like the fish was cold the fries was soggy I hate this location I have a problem every time I come here .. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER THEY CHARGING 16 dollars for perch.. So disappointed will not return to this location. Times are to hard to waste your money on crap.

This place has fell off!!! They are being very cheap for the prices they charge. Seems like they take one piece of fish and slice it to make it 3 pieces, very thin and tasteless. Getting over on people, they gave me one dab of cocktail sauce. I’m surprised they’re still in business…… never again will they get a dime of my money!! Don’t waste your time or money!!!

I have been a customer of this location since they opened. While the flavor of the food has changed, I have not had any major issues with the quality….until my last visit. I ordered 2 fish dinners and a pound of shrimp. The tilapia was spoiled, and the shrimp were overcooked, some burnt. I tried to call several times to get the issue reported and resolved, to no avail. I’m extremely disappointed in the entire experience. It will be a long time before I give them a try again, if ever.

Ive never been so disrespected . I wanted to pick out my cod THE MANAGER TOLD ME THEIR ALL THE SAME. I don’t care i wanted to pic my own. Bought crab legs i said how much are they shes says price is right on there. Sorry couldnt see it thru the glass. So rude.

I’ve been here several times but today I ordered 24 wings to go with my dinner I was having for a few friends. I was so embarrassed. The wings were greasy, burnt with feathers and I can tell they used old dirty oil to fry them. I didn’t have time to call and complain because I was too busy preparing for my guest but I will never leave out the door without checking my wings.
