10/10, i cannot recommend enough! Honestly best Bun Bo Hue in Austin for me, so flavorful and delicious! Everything else was amazing. Definitely can’t wait to bring my parents here (they’re picky haha) and try their other dishes! Service and atmosphere were great as well! 🙂

ALSO the ube coffee oh my gosh. Yes a million!

I brought one of my favorite people here for dinner, and she said the food was really good.
I’ve been here multiple times for takeout after work because they serve flavorful Vietnamese street food with such authentic taste.

Today, we dined in and ordered the crawfish fried rice and fried rice noodles both were absolutely delicious!
I also ordered a Vietnamese salty coffee for my friend’s husband; it looked amazing, and I’m sure it tasted just as good.

They even play Vietnamese music, which made it feel just like home , I loved it. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone.
The staff were so nice, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even better.
Thank you ♥️

Fresh Bowl is easily one of the top tier pho spots in Austin. Dare I say ELITE???…with two small personal preferences/gripes that keep me from saying this place is a TEN.

In my opinion, the star of the show here? The Vegan Pho. It comes out piping hot and loaded to the max full of stuff: fresh handmade noodles, big chunky vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrots, mushrooms), lots of onions and generous slabs of fried tofu. No skimpy bowls here. I’m not fully vegan, so I sub the veggie broth for beef broth ****and let me tell you**** that THIS MOVE takes the pho from being “very good” to “why is this so PERFECT?” Rich flavor, lots of collagen, warming to the soul. Chef’s kiss.

They also bring all the herbs, sprouts, and lime so you can dress it exactly how you want.

Now…if Fresh Bowl added bánh xèo to the menu, I’d be super emotionally invested. And while the spring rolls here are OK, other Vietnamese spots in town use better cuts of beef and pork. Minor gripe, but a personal preference. Use better cuts of meat for your spring rolls.

Drinks though? Untouchable. The Vietnamese iced matcha latte is STRONG, cold, and perfectly balanced—condensed milk, bold matcha, and subtle jasmine notes. Refreshing, addictive, and easily one of the best iced drinks in the city.

Service is consistently solid. Even when it’s busy, they make the effort to check in and keep things moving, which goes a long way.

Between Fresh Bowl and ‘Pho, Please’, I honestly can’t pick a winner for the best pho in Austin. Both are excellent. I’m just begging politely, BOTH OF YOU, please put bánh xèo on the menu.

I love it here. The food is fantastic, and the service is quick. This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Austin, in my opinion.

Highly recommend for visitors and locals.

Love this place! Some of the BEST pho broth around Austin in my opinion. I will often buy the large container of just the pho broth for $5 to take it home to drink it out of a mug. So flavorful and healing lol. I’ve had several menu items and everything has been good. My ONE piece of unsolicited advice is to whoever makes the nước mắm fish sauce; please use less sugar, it’s too sweet. Not bad, just.. unbalanced. I usually prefer fish sauce for my spring rolls, but the peanut sauce here is great so I don’t mind switching it up. Happy to have a really good Vietnamese spot nearby my work. Staff has always been friendly whether I’m dining in or doing take-out, and the to-go orders are packed well. Haven’t had any missing items.

Today was my day off, and I decided to take my son out to eat. I chose Fresh Bowl because it’s close to home, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

We sat at our table for over 15 minutes, and no one came to take our order—even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. I had to flag someone down just to get basic service.

I asked for a pair of scissors, and they were visibly dirty. The spoons were stuck together, and when I finally got them apart, they still had sticky fish sauce on them. I requested a clean set, but even the replacements weren’t properly washed.

The food didn’t make up for the poor service either. The steamed egg tasted old—like it had been reheated multiple times. The top was dried out and separated, which is a clear sign it wasn’t freshly made. On top of that, the fish sauce was extremely sweet and off-balance.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit was unacceptable. Safe to say I won’t be coming back.

This is another hidden gem in Austin. Housed in a standalone building with plenty of parking, Fresh Bowl is a must-try. We’ve been ordering hủ tiếu gõ and hủ tiếu bò kho (beef stew rice noodles soup) for quite some time now, and they never disappoint.
The restaurant is cozy, clean, and has great vibes. The staff is consistently professional and friendly, and the menu is full of excellent options. Every dish we’ve tried has been delicious.
Yet another great Vietnamese restaurant to add to your Austin food list.

The food here is very good. I had the beef stew and pork spring rolls. The beef stew comes with 2 noodle options or bread. I ordered all 3. The bread was fresh baked about 8 inch long baguette, warm with a crispy crust and a perfect complement to the stew. You get all the normal pho ingredients separate and i dumped them all in stirring and waiting for it to cool. While I waited I tried the spring rolls. They were filled with thin rice, lettuce and strips of pork. My first bite i took plain. The egg roll has a great crunch and the pork is tender and perfectly cooked. The second bite i used the peanut sauce and *wow* it was amazing. The sauce enhanced and brought together the spring rolls’ flavors. The peanut sauce is had left I scraped up with the bread which was a treat.

The only complaint i had about the food was the beef from the stew was Inconsistent. It included giant chunks of beef some melted like butter and others were a little tough.

The biggest weakness was the service. This is the 4th pho location I’ve tried in Austin and the service was the weakest by far. First I was handed a single 12 ounce bottle of water which I finished half way through and I had to go up to the counter to ask for another. No one came to check on me. The lady who brought out and served the food was delightful, she seemed really pleased with herself and for good reason, the food looked and tasted great.

The restaurant feels caught between a casual eatery and high end mid to high end quality. The inside didn’t have a lot of character, the walls and decor felt like more of a diner then authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Might be a good location for a casual date but the service would have to improve. Definitely a lunch spot for professionals and small groups of friends.

You likely spend at least $25, per person including tip and i felt the value for the price was spot on.
