Today I felt like waring some chilaquilles so I decided to give this restaurant a try. Ordered 2 Chilaquile plates with egss and Carne Asada. The chilaquiles weren’t as crispy at all, but I did take out, so maybe the steam made them soggy, so I can not judge them on that. The salsa on the chilaquiles was not hot, but it did have flavor. The rice and beans were actually good. Overall, the food I have to rate them 5 stars. The service was good at first until I received my food. Once I paid, I waited maybe 5 minutes for the lady to hand me my plates. What threw me off a bit was the fact that when I was waiting, she suddenly opened the window, hands me my food, and closed the window. I wasn’t sure if my food was complete since she didn’t really say anything. Most places would say something like “Thank you,have a nice day.” This lady didn’t say a word ,didn’t make any eye contact, nothing. A huge thing for me is customer service, and if I feel as if I’m not wanted in business, I never go back again. So even my 5 star review is based on the food. The customer service I give it a 2, because although she did greet me and took my order in a very polite matter, once I paid and waited, I felt as if she didn’t want me there. I’m not sure why. With that being said, I don’t see myself going back to this restaurant.

Been here twice at drive through, first visit was ok took a while, food was really good. Last visit, they took forever and while I was at the pickup window the lady getting my food literally packed the bag and was about to hand it to me when she left to help another employee look at some papers in a binder for almost 5 minutes waited and as I stood staring in disbelief there where 3 other ladies also employees just standing there doing absolutely nothing, they even looked at me like I was disturbing them. Horrible service. Not even an apology. Food was ok and had to reheat. Not worth $23 for a Taco plate and a side of enchiladas.

I order a lot on Tuesdays for Taco Tuesdays and normally Fresco has the best Tacos in Bakersfield but definitely not tonight. Tacos were average at best ordered 12 chicken Tacos as I normally do and added cheese and Pico De Gallo hardly any cheese and Pico De Gallo on the Tacos tonight and the Tacos didn’t taste as fresh as they normally do. Also ordered a slice of cheese cake and it was actually a sliver of cheese cake. Very disappointed and dissatisfied in tonight order.

Food quality n quantity very good, would have given 5 stars if it was not for the Unfriendly n unprofessional attitude of counter girl. Was treated like was getting a freebie, come-on girl I damn paid for my food expected some courtesy n professional behavior. May be it’s because of location n clientele visits this place, counter staff has gotten this attitude. Would love to visit again as food was yummy but attitude… have to think again.

I highly recommend this place. Food is top tier fresh & delicious. Affordable prices. They have a repeat customer on their hands. For reference, I ordered three plates (Super fries, Shrimp burrito & an enchilada plate) with two large Horchatas =$42 total. Also they are not shy about giving you their red & green sauce, love that!!!

Sampled Fresco’s Chili Verde Burrito. The meat was pork loin chunks and not shredded . Sauce was light and tasty with excellent flavor.

The food is good but there was times that the chicken was over cooked where at one time was chocking on the chicken. When my mom in law and we eat lunch/dinner most of the tables are dirty. The service is good and the food taste good really never changes but the only complain I have is the chicken is a bit dry/ over cooked. Other than that it’s a good place to dine in.

I noticed that the portly Mexican fellow serving my food was reaching into his pocket and it looked like he was rubbing something in there. I don’t know if he was or wasn’t. All I know is when I got my card back it had some weird film on it and it kind of ruined the burrito for me. Even though it looked like he didn’t open it or anything, it was just difficult and that’s why I’m writing this review. The burrito was okay but I think it was due to what happened. Maybe because most of the time when I eat there. It’s great. I love it but seeing him do that I don’t know and seeing that film on my my card and I know he doesn’t make the food. Take it as you wish
