We love this place!! Carlos our server who is also the owner is awesome!! He made us feel welcomed and made a lot of great recommendations that we loved. He had a smile on his face the whole we were there. We got a variety of items for brunch. Carlos recommended the birria and it was one of the best I have ever had! It was perfectly seasoned and the plantains were delicious! No one had a single problem with what they ordered! In fact, everything was so good we kept ordering more!! We finished off with a silky flan that was fantastic. After we finished, we walked around their small store attached to the restaurant that sells a variety of goods you would find in a shop in Mexico. We bought Sal De Pueblo Mexican salt that we use regularly. If you’re looking for a meal that feels like you’re eating in a friend or family’s kitchen, then you have to eat here!! This is the quintessential neighborhood place!!

We sat outside on a Saturday night. Every table was taken but we got a table for two. Plenty of parking. The table side guacamole was delicious! A must order. Steak taco was also delicious. Brita tacos were good but not fantastic. We were full so didn’t get desserts but the looked really really good

Unfortunately not a good review this time. We have ordered several times over the last few years and also eaten in the restaurant and food was always great. Not sure if Chef changed but we got take out for the Superbowl day and today again and both times food was not great. Very disappointed. Meat was salty without flavor, the enchiladas dough and tacos tortillas were not good either. Something definitely changed. It’s a shame since is our favorite Mexican restaurant around. Service is still great.

We ordered fajitas and chimichanga. Food arrived hot and delicious. I also really enjoyed the iced hibiscus tea. Service was excellent and we dined outside since the weather was so enjoyable.

Been here and few times and the food is very well made. The tamales were so good, dryer than what I like but the flavor was 100% there. Enchiladas and tacos were excellent. Highly recommend.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place! My wife and I have been here a few times and love it. The food is consistently well made and creative specials. The ingredients are clearly fresh, made that day. You can eat inside or outside on the quaint porch overlooking main street (which is what we did). This place just has a great attitude, staff and of course great food. See you soon.

I’ve been recommended this place more times that I can count, so I finally made my way to Fresco Mexican and was not disappointed.
Food: I ordered their Cajun chicken quesadillas, which not only felt strangely authentic because of the style preparation, but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone season the tortilla which I loved.
Aesthetic: lots of seating both inside and outside, pretty simple set up.
Service: having multiple people come to the table and help grab things, give us water, and provide us with the food was nice. Felt like a well oiled machine.

Very nice decor, nice staff, you can buy seasoning to take home. If you read through these reviews you’ll see it’s a hit or miss restaurant. It was certainly a miss for my friends and I.
Our appetizer there was the only good thing really. The cheese dip with pieces of pork in it was very good. Hibiscus tea was good.
Food is very quick to come out. My friend ordered the chimichanga. We were surprised that it didn’t come with sauce, cheese, rice, and beans. She said it was Unsalted and no flavor.
I got the over stuffed burrito which also had no flavor and unsalted.
My boyfriend said he enjoyed his food which was tampiqueñ, it just wasn’t anything special.

This small little Mexican restaurant on the main drag in Chester is loaded with charm and great service.
The menu is diverse and the food is your typical Mexican food. The salsas are really good, although the chips are a little heavy. The main dishes are fresh and tasty as well.
The dining room is extremely small (although they do have 4 or 5 outdoor tables) so if the heat or weather is not agreeable you may need to wait to get inside seating.
