Need a Mexican vacation? Walking through the Fresca Taqueria doors feels like your transported Veracruz Mexico! The food was authentic and delicious. I had the Barbados enchiladas with fried plantains and cactus salad… generous portions at a great value. The solarium seating sets you amongst the vibrant H Street corridor, yet a 3,000 miles away at the same time!

Really nice place, great location and its much bigger than it looks, with a whole back/side. Outside in like a green house is the best place to sit and eat. It was full when I was there. But they also have a bar in the back. I got a horchata tequila drink that was pretty good. The chips, guacamole and salsa was alright. Not really worth the portion price. It’s was fresh though.

Really wonderful service and authentic Mexican food. I got a complimentary ponce and loved it. The gorditas were filling and perfect for a small lunch.

We’ve been coming here for breakfast for months because of the great service, delicious food (get the chilaquiles) and the kids and dog friendly atmosphere (they even have a doggy menu). This last time we were pleasantly surprised by how warm the patio was even though it’s 32 degrees out there. Highly recommend this as a family friendly brunch/breakfast spot.

Went here on the 15th/16th and walked in to get some drinks. We ordered takeout at first but then changed our minds and the lady said she cant change the status if the order however she still let us inside.
The horchata went for 6 bucks and was in a mid sized cup. We got asked to get out despite an empty restaurant, I hope it remains like that if thats how you treat customers.

This place was absolutely amazing. Super authentic, and the food tasted amazing. Servers were very nice, and the food is sold at a pretty good price considering how much they give you.
Tl;dr, make sure to grab a bite to eat at this taqueria if you come to H-Street!

Wow. I can’t believe it only has 4 stars at the time of this review. This is the best Mexican, true Mexican, not Tex-mex, I’ve ever had. Tastes just like it’s from Mexico. Excellent food, friendly staff, and super quick. The flavor is so good too, you just have to try it.

Definitely a go-to on H st! I love the outdoor patio with all the flowers and plants! Inside feels much more casual but outside is an adorable vibe. Lots of menu options – I recommend the cheese empanadas for sure and love the tostadas – basically everything I’ve tried I’ve loved except the enchiladas (too dry in my opinion). Been here a bunch (always forget to take pics) and will be back!

I ordered a chicken soup with tortillas on the side and after taking a few bites of the soup, which tasted fine, I saw two baby cockroaches in the tortilla bowl crawling around. I squished them and told the waiter. The didn’t charge me for the soup but I will not be going back since they must have a serious pest problem
