⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresa’s Review

Such a cute little spot with the sweetest customer service Everyone was so kind and welcoming seriously gave Dutch Bros energy, but for food.

They have breakfast tacos, salads, bowl-style meals (Chipotle vibes), churros, ice cream, and lots of fresh options. The prices are really good, and everything tastes fresh and satisfying.

⏱️ Speed:
I ordered twice within a 3-hour span, and both times my food was ready in under 5 minutes (closer to 2 minutes). Super impressive.

Setup:
They have walk-up ordering and a drive-thru, plus pickup and DoorDash. Parking is a bit limited but available just note they’ll let you know if parking is for customers only.

✨ Overall:
Fast, fresh, affordable, and genuinely friendly. Such a fun, convenient place and definitely worth trying if you’re in the area!

I needed a meal to take home so stopped at Fresa’s Chicken al Carbon. This location is only take out and only had a few parking spots available but does have a drive-thru. I ordered the Whole Achiote & CitrusI Chicken and like the menu served w/ Charro Beans, Mexican Rice, Grilled Onion, Blistered Jalapeño, Corn Tortillas & Salsas. It is a full meal to feed 2-4 people depending on how hungry they are.

When I got home I unpackaged it and the chicken was cut in four parks separating white from dark. It’s designed to build your own chicken tacos. The chicken was very flavor-able and farm fresh. The seasoning had that perfect mild spiciness and much better than store bought rotisserie chickens. The sides were also just as excellent. It lasted us for two days.

They forgot about us. I had to rate them poorly for this because it was such a dumb mistake. We were the ONLY customers walking up to the window. Then another couple and a man came up and ordered 2 mins later. After those three individuals ordered and got their food, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe our food just took longer to make. Then after the other customers finished their food my husband went up and asked them what was going on. They had our food sitting in there for who knows how long in a bag. How do you make that mistake? There wasn’t that many customers. Also the food was only ok.

I’m giving 2 stars because the breakfast tacos they sold me weren’t freshly made. The flavor was pretty good, but the portion was not too good. Pretty small tacos for the price, pineapple agua fresca was really good but I asked for a large and felt like it was a medium drink.

Food had great flavor, but the portion sizes were borderline disrespectful. Got a #1 quarter dark meat Achiote and Citrus Chicken. Awesome flavor, was cooked well. However, the side portions of the rice and beans came in the tiniest of cups. The input cost of those two sides is probably the cheapest on their menu, yet they are hilariously stingy in how small the portions are. Is this place run by Scrooge McDuck? And if I wanna go half chicken, I’m paying over $20 for a meal. Inflation is rampant, but not THAT rampant. $15-$16 would still be expensive, but plenty more reasonable for that offering. Will not eat here again. Here’s a side by side comparison of the side containers next to a can of tuna.

I come to this location multiple times a month and the quality is different each visit. Well this visit I knew something was suspicious when they handed me my food 2 mins after paying which never happens. Well now I know why….. my bowl was half empty. Like are you kidding me? They gave me less than one scoop of rice! I took out the kale and saw this. This is outrageous at the prices they are charging! There’s hardly any beans either. Serving this to a customer is embarrassing!

The chicken bowl is amazing! The chicken was delicious (moist) as were the Brussels sprouts. Unfortunately, sitting outside and eating in awful Texas heat was not the high point. I highly recommend making an indoor area to sit and eat, even if only 10 tables. There is no shade, just concrete and heat outside. But even like that, I will return because the food is so good!!

My wife wanted an order of poblano chicken soup and I wanted to try it too so I stopped late morning to pickup from the counter. The soup was a bit thin and not much chicken but it was pretty tasty. Didn’t care for the avocado in the soup which got quite mushy by the time we ate. The amount of soup in the container was a bit short which for $12 was also disappointing.
