Tried out French Meadow for the first time! Lots of options for breakfast along with the pastry and cake selections.

Corn pancake – shareable for 2, add butter and put the pure maple syrup on it. It elevates the flavor of the pancake!

Eggs Benedict – peppery but delicious hollandaise sauce and the hash browns were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside

Had a delightful dinner here after a show at the Orpheum, the options were fresh, allergy friendly, and the service was professional and kind. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food. Their vegan chocolate rose cake was such a treat!

I have been to this establishment a few times now. It not disappoint. Classy, if modern, atmosphere. A decently expansive menu.

Good place to bring a date or just have a good lunch before running errands.

Today, my husband and I stopped by the French Meadow Bakery & Cafe at 2610 Lyndale Ave. S. We shared and enjoyed a warmed Ham and Gruyère Croissant ($6). My husband had a Cinnamon Pull Apart ($5.50) and I had a Maple Pecan Scone ($4.50); both were excellent. Staff were friendly and cheerful and, with our request, gave us plenty of napkins for our take-out order. We enjoyed our stop and definitely plan to return. ❤️

I love a good breakfast burrito. This is the first time I’ve have one smothered in chili. This is a veggie breakfast burrito and as such has a veggie taste. The eggs and hash browns inside the burrito were cooked well. I’ll add meat the next time I order.

French Meadow is incredible! The food feels real, down-to-earth, and truly made with love and attention. Everything tastes authentic, and there’s such a wonderful variety to choose from—something for every taste. Their tomato basil soup is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates genuinely good food!

Great menu with many choices. There’s outdoor seating right now although one of their patios that’s known for it’s beautiful atmosphere and flowers was closed. Hopefully it will reopen. The service was fantastic and friendly. The tuna melt was good and I enjoyed the Thai soup. I’ll go back in hopes to check out that other patio.

Service was friendly and prompt. Claire was a good waitress. We were seated right away. We visited Saturday for a late lunch and Sunday for an early dinner. It was fairly close to the MIA which we were at both days. The decor was nice and bright. It was a little loud, but that’s the high ceilings in the main dining area. I think it would have been quieter in the front or back rooms.
Water bright to the table right away. Our drinks were a hot chocolate and an on tap mandarin orange ginger kombucha. Both were very good. I especially liked the kombucha!
I ordered the chicken wild rice soup. It was very thick. Lots of rice and big chunks of chicken. The slice of bread on the side was tasty though I would have liked to have it heated or toasted.
I also ordered the “shroomy” calamari which was excellent! Easily the best dish of our whole weekend trip. I’m fact we came back on Sunday really just to have another taste of this. Nice and crisp. Paprika flavoring really the star.
My daughter had the buttermilk ranch sandwich which was fine. The fries were not worth the extra $2 though. They must not like their fries crisp or tasty in this city because they were unseasoned and floppy.
We had a slice of Chocolate Mousse cake which was yummy, as were the Coconut cake and the carrot cake (though they both were a little heavy on the top frosting)
Since we were staying at a hotel we grabbed a couple of scones and croissants for breakfast. The croissants were good. The scones were interesting. I’ve not really had a drop scone before but that is what the cranberry one was. It has the right texture though and tasted fine. The lemon blueberry was very odd. It had the scone shape but that was it. It was like a crunchy shortbread instead of a tender scone. I would not recommend it.
