Authentic Creole Louisiana food and seafood that’s made fresh daily! That’s our guarantee to you. We don’t use canned sauces, powdered mixes, boxed desserts or frozen dishes like many New Orleans restaurants. We make everything in-house from our cocktail sauce to our decadent white chocolate praline bread pudding and everything in between! Many of our recipes still stay true to Grandma Annie Marullo’s original Creole dishes over 80 years ago. We get all our fresh Louisiana Gulf seafood from local distributors who know to bring us the biggest jumbo shrimp and oysters available. Come see for yourself and find out why we are rated one of the best New Orleans restaurants on Trip Advisor!
Boiled seafood by the pound plus Cajun fare in a circa-1803 space with outdoor & balcony seats.

Reviews
– Quality of food: Authentic and Delicious. We ordered charbroiled oysters and jambalaya.
– Service: Quick and Friendly Staff
– Smells amazing before you even enter the restaurant – the open boil window to the street draws you in!
Cons:
– Bathrooms filthy and no soap or paper towels
I would rate 5 star based on the pros. But hygiene is important (especially in food service). Thankfully, I had a bottle of hand sanitizer in my bag.
The construction fence seemed to be blowing the crawfish boil seasoning into the restaurant, so there was a little coughing going on from the spices. Hopefully the construction will end soon so this place can get the business it deserves!!
We had a great meal. Our server was there at every turn and again boudin!
Excited to come back again soon
The menu leans into fresh Louisiana seafood and Creole staples — think chargrilled oysters, gumbo, shrimp po’boys, and hearty Cajun favorites — all made from scratch with ingredients shipped in daily from local Gulf distributors. I especially like the way the food manages to be bold and flavorful without trying to impress you with flashiness. It’s honest, satisfying, and steeped in New Orleans culinary heritage.
What makes this place memorable for me is the energy. Sitting out on the balcony over Decatur Street with a cold drink in hand, watching street life and live music vibes below — that’s classic NOLA right there. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, though it leans more toward lively tourist-friendly than quiet neighborhood vibe.
In short, if you want a taste of New Orleans with history, hearty Creole food, and a fun French Quarter setting, this restaurant gives you exactly that — even if it isn’t the fanciest spot in town.
