They have wonderful service. The food qaulity and portion size was satisfactory. But, I must sayt he food was lacking seasoning. For a creole style restaurant we expected more substance. I did happen to have a brisstel from one of their basting brushes left in my food. But the manager swapped out my dish for a fresh one.

Good menu and cozy atmosphere. Sadly, I’ve had better service at a Waffle House. One senior, overworked and rushed waitress commandeers all the best tables/booths. Not a place we felt welcome. It could be a better experience for customers if a manager stepped in to distribute work responsibilities.

Ordered almost $90 for pickup last night. Picked up. Got home. One meal was missing. So annoying. All they said was they “overlooked” bagging it up. I guess I got one “sorry” from them. Salads were small and basically just lettuce.

Next time I will try our luck from Village Deli. Way less expensive and food probably better. My catfish was good but it was only 3 small pieces and paid $28 for it. Wife enjoyed her po-boy.

French Market Grill – you failed us in a number of ways and you were expensive.

Do better!

I ate here with my MIL and aunts for Sunday lunch. The service was wonderful. The waiter even helped my MIL and aunt get their kabobs off the sticks carefully, so sweet. The food was excellent! The peanut butter pie was delicious. The music wasn’t too loud. For a Sunday lunch they weren’t crowded and we got right in. I do feel like the bathrooms could have used a deep clean. Like here’s a nice restaurant with clean for the go, but neglected walls and sinks gave the impression that the bathroom didn’t match the level of restaurant that it should. This restaurant has been here a very long time, that speaks to me. The food is still consistently good. I would 100% eat here again! Plus if you want to walk off the meal, there’s nice shopping right there at you.

We had dinner there this last Monday for the Masters and had a good time. Place is nothing spectacular, but the service was very good, and so was the food. Our server Nick was super friendly and had great recommendations. The Crawfish Etouffe and the chicken wings were both really good. Good pricing and decent wine menu!

If you are looking for some good specials, this is the place to be. The food was great, but what will keep us coming back is the service. We came for a birthday Saturday night and our server Justin was top tier. He made sure everything was taken care of and all of our request were handled in a timely manner. We are a rowdy group and he took it all in stride. I haven’t been to a place with this good of an all around service in a long time, so Kudos to him for giving us a reason to come back!

Skip this place.

Everything is extremely bland.

Went with big group. We got:
Gumbo
Jambalaya
Red beans and rice.
Crawfish étouffée

Everything was extremely tasteless, shrimp was so overcooked it was falling apart, but the rice was slightly crunchy.

My family is from Louisiana, so maybe my standards are higher, but I didn’t eat my food.

This was our first time dining at French Market Grille for our Saturday date night, and we had absolutely no regrets! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and immediately felt welcomed. The restaurant itself has such a beautiful, inviting atmosphere that set the perfect tone for the evening.

Our server, Sonja, was outstanding—attentive, kind, and made sure everything flowed perfectly. We started with a spread of appetizers: the marinated shrimp, Cajun wings, crawfish popcorn, and a half dozen steamed oysters. Every bite was packed with flavor and gave us high expectations for the entrées to come—and they did not disappoint!

For our main dishes, we ordered the West Bank Duo (Combination Plate) and the Crepes Louisiana. Both were absolutely delicious, but that Crepes Louisiana with the sauce was a standout—so rich and flavorful!

What really elevated the experience was when the owner, Shadrick, personally came over to greet us. He noticed we were new faces and made us feel like old friends. He even shared a bit about his other spot, Rae’s Coastal Cafe, which we are already planning to visit soon.

And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, we decided to try the Peanut Butter Pie for dessert. My husband usually doesn’t care for peanut butter, and I’m not much of a dessert person—but we both LOVED it. It was the perfect sweet ending to such an incredible meal.

From start to finish, everything about this visit was top-notch—the service, the food, the atmosphere, and the personal touch from the owner. My husband and I will definitely be back soon. If you’re looking for authentic Louisiana-style food with amazing hospitality, French Market Grille is a must-try!

Excellent food. I am very appreciative of getting tasty food the way I ordered it. My wife and I both had fish. Think mine was blackened grouper and Wife had trout. Both were hot and moist, tender and delicious. Vegtables were fresh, not overcooked and not salty. Delicious, just as ordered. Waiter was attentive without hovering. The resturant is 90 miles away, but I am looking forward to my next visit. Meal plus tip was $115. Dude had wine, i was designated driver. We had appetizer.
