French Canteen has some good burgers. But the service is not that great though they try to make it seem so. The French Onion Soup, which was recommended by the waiter, was below average, barely any cheese and not even melted.

Not disappointed at all, probably one of top 3 burgers I had in my life ! Highly recommend, great service, good ambiance, excellent food and very clean.

First time at french canteen, I ordered a medium filet. I really liked this place because it gives you the choice to choose among 3 sauces: mushroom, herbs, and pepper. The steak is amazing and the taste is really good. What’s even better is the bread, don’t underestimate their bread. However, I didn’t really like the mint they put in the salad, it ruins the after taste a bit.

Professionalism, great service, awesome and delicious food, very special taste, beautiful atmosphere, amazing location in Broumana, super lovely restaurant design and concept! A must try! Really worth the visit! And Oh, the photo of the dish does not make justice 🙂 Anthony was our waiter, always smiling and serving us from all his heart!! Hats down to his knowledge of all the items.

I went to this place on a saturday evening. The interior design is super stylish, the color palett is very classy. I also loved the lighting above the tables. I ordered the chicken variant that they offer with a side of french fries and a green salad.
I could only describe the food as okay. The chicken with the herbs sauce was okay, well cooked and tasty but nothing that would blow your mind though. The fries were well seasonned and the salad fresh and crispy.
I would come back to this place but I wouldnt place it on my bucket list for next time I am back in Lebanon.

I will be fair although a 3.5 is more reliable but the place is nice having a calm decoration.
The menu is limited but convenient for meat lovers.
Portions are good and prices are very affordable and it is obvious that the quality is good and ingredients are fresh.
The service is quick.
I have one comment about the wine. Usually, meat lovers enjoy meat with wine (it is not absolute by anyway) and French Canteen has only and only one commercial brand (which is not my type) and not the typical to drink with meat.
I recommend the place to get a small variety of boutique wineries or small wineries at also affordable prices (there is plenty of).

Great formula emulating Swiss butter and emEntrecote. Meat quality was great and the service attentive. Small letdown with onion soup but they were kind to serve us half portions. Would definitely go back

If I can put 0 stars I would, even thought the food was absolutely delicious and the waiter we had was on point, as a person coming all the way from Canada I was recommended this place from regulars in broumana I was astonished by how we were treated. I ordered the steak platter it came with fries and salad and some bread it was delicious but as I could not finish my food I asked for a box to take it to go, the waiter politely said we don’t have boxes to go just bags for the bread and fries. Since there’s no mention anywhere about the fact that they don’t do take out I was taken a back. The waited so kindly got a box just for us from the restaurant next door. He went to pack it up and came back saying we couldn’t give you the sauce or the salad even if we paid for the whole meal. I didn’t understand since my steak was literally served to me in a pan swimming in the sauce. Turns out the owner or manager (not sure what he was) decided to take each strip of my steak and wipe the sauce off for a reason I cannot understand. Once we asked why he had a bad attitude saying we don’t do take out and we should be lucky we even got anything. He basically would rather throw out food then please a customer. He proceeded to yell at two women as a man telling them they should know how to speak to a man. As people in this world are starving this restaurant would rather throw food in the garbage then give it to the customer who actually paid for it. I’m absolutely appalled. Very sad because they had great potential.
