Frenasia is one of the BEST fusion sushi spots you can find in Queens! The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, the food is ABSOLUTELY delicious no matter what you order, and the service is prompt and attentive. Flavors from all different regions of Asian cuisine are curated exquisitely into their dishes. The staff and owner are wonderful and always friendly. It’s our favorite dinner date spot where $100 goes a long way for 2 people. Closest we’ve come thus far to finding a spot in NYC that matches the taste and authenticity of the variety of street food we had in Asia. You’re guaranteed to leave full, happy, and already planning your return visit. Highly recommended and a true hidden gem.

So I planned a class trip here because my students were learning about Chinese new year. The owner was extremely kind and helped me plan an unforgettable experience for my students in this restaurant. We were a small group of 14 students and a larger group of staff and parents. The restaurant worked with us took care of the kids provide provided quick and efficient service with delicious food. She was very flexible and kind and welcoming to the children. They really did a great job and giving my students experience that they may may have not ever been able to have. The kids also enjoyed the view of outside as the bay was frozen. They were organized with the adults and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend for anyone going with kids date night a quick bite to eat or even a night out by yourself. The food also had a great presentation and everything was fresh ! The experience was a 10 out of 10 for us.

Hadn’t been to this place in a while and was excited to go. Unfortunately the visit wasn’t that great. There was four of us, and one of the meals was served cold and my dish didn’t come for at least 10 minutes after everyone else hot there meal. Then I didn’t even get the vegetables that it was supposed to come with, but they brought me the extra ones that I paid an upcharge for. Appetizers were good. Maybe caught them on a bad night, but they really need to step up their game. Hopefully next time I can give a better review.

This place used to be much much better.
We sat in a booth in the far back and there was a freezing draft coming in under the table. We asked to move and were put at the table directly across which had the same exact problem.
The place was pretty busy but only had one server in the section. She got part of the order wrong (understandable as she was swamped) but the correct order took another 30 minutes to receive.
We asked for water and even that took 30 minutes and we left before a refill came.

I’ve been here twice with my family. My relative is a regular and they treat her so well! I recommend the duck dumplings and the special rolls. Nice view of the water. The only con is the parking lot is very small

Can’t get over the taste of the bland food. The waitresses were very kind and attentive, almost to make up for the fact that the food was anything close to good. The chicken tempura tasted like from the frozen food section of Costco. Plus it was more expensive compared to most places I dine at, which would have been acceptable if the food was good at least.

They were very rude! If you are an African American do not come here. We couldn’t even enjoy our food because eyes were being stared at us the whole entire time which made us feel very uncomfortable. They were not very welcoming only to the people of they’re kind. Do not come here if you are a black person.
