Really GOOD local food. Friendly service, family owned, terrific train decor. Farm to table type of place. If you know a train-loving person of any age, bring them here to eat – see how long it takes them to notice the model train that runs around the entire dining and bar area, up high near the ceiling. Very charming. Bar seating comfortable. Bathrooms are clean! Parking is great.

First time back since new owners, and it might be our last. The restaurant was not busy, only 2 tables had people sitting, but we waited at the desk to be seated , no one said anything until we finally asked to be seated. After all the good reviews, the food was very disappointing. We ordered the Sauerkraut Balls to start with. They had no taste . You wouldn’t know it was sauerkraut if you hadn’t read it, they were very mushy ,but the sauce was good. One ordered a cheeseburger and fries. . You would think for a $17.00 burger you wouldn’t be charged extra fpr cheese, pickles, onions…etc , but we were. The bun was not fresh and the fries were cold. So for just the burger it was almost $20.00.. One ordered the Reuben ( upon recommendation ) and fries . The Reuben was not toasted and was cold., The fries were cold and greasy. . The little meat in the Reuben was very fatty and chewy (gristle) . Could only eat 1/4 of the Reuben and none of the fries . On top of this, they had the Guardians playing on a crackling static radio station.

We came to try the brunch buffet. The manager who stopped by our table on Monday recommended we come try the brunch buffet this weekend. We typically come and eat the salad bar during the week. The buffet was great! She did not disappoint us with the recommendation! The staff were so friendly despite being very busy at the time. They seemed to really be working as a team and doing great keeping up with the food on the buffet. So happy you brought this place back!

Went to try out the new up & coming Breakfast buffet they’re offering. Seemed like it was just to test the waters to see how they would do, so we gave it a go. First visit was a little disappointing. Our server visited us one time, & never came back. The food was not stocked up in the food warming trays on the table in the back room. I patiently waited bc I wanted to try hashbrowns. Never got them. We stop paid full price for everything. Although we didn’t have access to everything that They were allegedly. They were serving French toast, but no access to syrup. We weren’t too mad, they were new to it. We gave it a month or so, & went back to try it again. We pulled in at 7:45 AM, bc u know, breakfast time. Anyhow, guy walking in the back said breakfast started at 8am. So we waited. 8:10 am we walk up to a locked door. So I called. They don’t open until 9am. While the doors posted hours say 12pm for a Sunday, marked off with tape. If you’re going to sell breakfast, HAVE BREAKFAST HOURS… & also, print them off & hang them on your door. With all of the bad reviews on social media, we still wanted to give this place a chance.

A neat cozy atmosphere inside, decorated with lots of sports memorabilia and other. The food was average bar food. Service was accurate and timely. Price was okay.

Great atmosphere. However, service was extremely slow. I came with my family of 5 and had very basic orders with no modifications. The ranch tasted like cheese. Our nachos had no toppings. Our sour cream was water consistency. The toilet was broke.

My family is a little down on our luck right now and the owner saw a post I had put on Facebook and was so kind enough to offer us free dinner. We got to try the chicken tenders fries chesseburgers and quesadillas and it was all amazing. Thank you so much for your kind heart we’re lucky to have someone like you in our community. We definitely will be dining with you when we can

It’s good food for the price. Don’t go in if you don’t have time to wait a little. Waitress spead out between bar and tables. Not their fault, just a heads up

Second time trying since new ownership and result has been the same. Food is overpriced and not very good. Wings had good flavor and crispy but were overcooked and dry. Tried there so called Chicago pizza and could only it a piece of it. Mostly dough and soggy not to mention that it was $20 for a small plus extra per topping. Definitely not a place if you’re looking for a pizza. You’re better off going to Little Caesars and that’s not even that good. Wife ordered a top shelf Long Island Ice tea that was basically water. Sorry but I gave a second chance and there won’t be a third.

Since Freight House decided to delete my comment on their social media page (how professional) I’ll leave a review here instead.
My family and I went here around midday. We were excited to try the soup flight due to their social media post which showed 3 bowls filled with an ample amount of soup.
We ordered that along with nachos and a child size pizza. After waiting about an hour for our food we were extremely disappointed. You’d think paying $14 for a flight that you’d get an ample amount of soup but that wasn’t the case. The soup flight was served in small cocktail glasses, a measly amount instead of the bowls they showed on Facebook.
The nachos were also disappointing. The chips were stale and the beef was burnt. The child’s sized pizza, though served hot, was okay but the cheese was too funky for our taste.
The only good thing I can say is that the food was served hot, but our waitress wasn’t the friendliest and again it took an hour for our food to arrive. We likely won’t be back. I hope the new owners can take this as a learning moment instead of ignoring the reality that their food just isn’t that great compared to other restaurants around town.
