Edit: I’ll only go if the owner is there. Just went now and the ice cream was a fraction of what he made me and was served melted practically water w lumps. Plus the women seem to have attitudes with each other but was still friendly to guest. All around disappointing because I was looking forward to soft serve. Just had a few bites out this is all and it’s already completely melted.
When I got my food the burger was cold and the fries were covered in garlic.
Has it changed hands?
The food and service used to be much better.
And it’s always a treat to be able to stop by and get something.
But when you’re craving a hot tamale and chili because it’s advertised ” full houses are back”
You would expect to get one but that person is not in. So try to order pinto beans instead but none of that either.
So had to settle for a chicken sandwich.
And was very very upset when I took a bite and realized the lettuce was slimy and brown and I know the person making the sandwich had to have felt it and at least visually seen it before they put that on my sandwich.
And it’s not like it was a $2 McDonald’s chicken sandwich, this was a $5 chicken sandwich from the freezo. All because of a $1 head of lettuce, I scraped the lettuce off my sandwich. But the quality is not the freezo we remember. Really hate to give the freezo or one star review but I have to.
It’s still the quaint little walk-up/drive-thru cash only joint with lots of nostalgia. There was only one lady working today at lunch time trying to wait on around 12 customers. I’m glad we were not in a hurry because it took a while to get our food. The prices aren’t too awful bad. I got a footlong hotdog, large onion rings, and large diet coke for $10.75. My mother got a footlong hotdog, small fries, small coke, and small chocolate malt for $11.15.
The weather was nice today so we sat at the concrete tables at the back of the parking lot and ate. I wish I could say we enjoyed our meal but neither of us much cared for the food. The hotdogs were just kind of bland, tasteless, and lukewarm. There was barely any chili on them as well. My onion rings were decent, nothing to write home about. My mother felt the same about her meal and she only ate about half of it. Maybe they were just having an off day or something but I have no plans to re-visit.
