Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is an absolute gem. I’m not vegan myself—I still eat dairy and fish—but I keep coming back here because the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. After years of visiting, it’s high time I left a review!
This visit was for lunch, and I ordered the vegan BLT sandwich, which came with a fresh side salad, and treated myself to an ice-blended coffee drink. Everything was simple yet spot-on—clean flavors, quality ingredients, and nothing overdone. I’ve also been here for dinner several times and can highly recommend their vegan fettuccine Alfredo and especially the green beans. Those green beans are next-level—bursting with flavor. I honestly wish I could get the recipe!
I walked over during my lunch break, since I now work in Old Town Tustin, and the setting really adds to the experience. I’ve included a few photos so you can see how charming the area is—think brick buildings, Victorian homes, and a vibe that feels more like a storybook town than Southern California. The restaurant’s outdoor patio is a perfect little oasis, complete with a cute fountain, leafy shade, and sunny spots for those who want them.
Service was quick and attentive, which I appreciated since I was on a tight schedule. The staff checked in just the right amount—present but never intrusive.

I have been here a few times now, in the last week. The service and food have been great, in my experience. I have ordered the fettuccine pasta for dinner, each time. I saw some reviews about the service being bad, but didn’t experience anything like that. The place and atmosphere is very cute for a date night, they have candles lit on each table which is nice. I think this place is actually way better than Seabirds, food wise. They also have nice music on too, love songs.

Went at 3 PM on a weekday (it was NOT busy) and they wouldn’t allow us to sit on their patio for dessert/coffee. Said we could only do takeout if we weren’t ordering entrees. I guess they’d rather make NO money because of their greed. I used to love this place and have brought friends here over the years, but no more.

Just ordered a caprese panini and cappuccino. I definitely should have realized that both of these definitely take milk products, so bad on me. Yet, my usual place would run 8.50 for a real cheese caprese panini vs. 17, and taste a hell of a lot better. When I subbed my cappuccino (which they called traditional, which it is not. I visit Italy quite regularly, so feel that I would know), with an espresso, it tasted sour, despite being a cheap dark roast: implying that the coffee is not cooked long enough.

Stopped by FreeSoulCaffe for lunch today, and it instantly earned a spot on my list of favorite vegan restaurants. We tried the Panini Poulet (vegan chickin) and the Atlantic Sandwich (vegan tuna)—both were bursting with flavor and freshness, generously portioned, and deeply satisfying. Served on delicious sourdough bread, the sandwiches had just the right texture and crunch to complement the fillings. Each came with a fresh side salad brushed with just the right amount of white wine vinaigrette, adding a bright, tangy finish that elevated the meal beyond the ordinary.
The restaurant itself was spotless, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout our visit. We chose to sit outside in the peaceful courtyard, which added a lovely touch to the experience. It was clear we weren’t the only ones enjoying it—plenty of other diners were happily soaking in the atmosphere.

Update: Stopped by for dinner. Ordered the Fennel Sausage Pizza, Mushroom Pizza and a Caesar Salad. Everything is vegan and pretty flavorful. I really enjoyed the Sausage Pizza. The Mushroom Pizza had a ton of mushrooms so if you’re a fan, order this pizza. The Caesar Salad was also very good, loved the croutons. Service was great even with being short staffed they handled it well. It’s a nice quaint place just a little pricy. Being all vegan though I would say it’s within the typical price range.
Went for lunch around 1:00 PM. My husband and I wanted to try the pizza. Apparently it’s only served after 5:00 PM. I only took pictures of the coffee and dessert. He ordered a ham panini and I ordered the eggs and ham that I thought was going to be a sandwich. It was served with a slice of bread and a salad. That was off to me but it tasted okay. Nothing really exciting but flavor was decent. I had a vanilla latte which was good and the croissant was the best I ever had. My husband ordered the ice cream sandwich but as you can see in the picture it’s not given in a sandwich style. Overall if you’re vegan/plant based or wanting to try it, it’s a good place to go but I’d only go back to try the pizza or for dessert. Atmosphere is nice, service was good.

This a hidden gem in Tustin old town for awesome vegan food. Absolutely loved the Curry ramen, the sandwiches/ panini,soup of the day ( chilli!) and pizzas . The desserts literally taste heavenly.The service was quick and the food was absolutely fresh and flavourful. The Agave lemonade and the hot / cold matcha tea , were top class too. If in doubt go and eat here°

This is my favorite place to enjoy healthy food. I am a patron since they opened in 2010. They specialize in creative fresh vegan-veggie dishes. My ‘go to’ order is the truffle mushroom veggie burger with a lettuce wrap. Sometimes I choose the gluten free bread. The carrot/lentil soup is very flavorful. I can’t eat it all and end up taking some home. The atmosphere is private, quiet, and has an attractive environment with pleasant service. The specialty desserts are delicious and it’s nice to buy a cake (try Key Lime) and take it home with you. I always order a matcha latte with almond milk while waiting for my meal. That gives them a perfect five.

Tranquil place to talk and enjoy good vegan food. The brownie was too sweet for my taste. The lentils soup had a homemade vibe and the flavors of the panini were well balanced. Restroom were clean. Staff was friendly but a bit slow. Parking in front, on the street.
