Freedom House Coffee is easily one of the best local coffee spots around. The vibe inside is warm, clean, and super welcoming — the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and they make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time walking in.
As a veteran and a sheriffs deputy myself I don’t like taking the discount but they refused to let me walk out of the door without it!

Great new spot to visit in downtown Baxter! Accessible entry and menu! They have all organic coffee grounds with perfectly balanced hp for the perfect, mild grounds that settle well.
I had a banana and chocolate chip muffin that was divine and the weekly special – a butterscotch flavored latte with macadamia nut milk. 10/10 I will definitely be going back for this order.

Great atmosphere! There are games, great food and coffee selections! We’ve had the Pesto Chicken and Turkey Club sandwiches. They were mouth watering good!

My friend and I posted up here to get some work done and were beyond pleased with the atmosphere, food, beverages, and service! I even bought my husband lunch to-go. The gluten-free options are a huge factor in where I frequent, and this great new shop did NOT disappoint! I can’t wait to make this a new regular stop!! Coffee, tea, snacks, lunch – they have it all!

Mom and I decided to try this place today because they advertised a vegan hot cocoa. They did not disappoint. The owners are very nice. The atmosphere is very nice. It is owned by a pastor and his lovely wife. They play quiet Christian music. They support veterans and first responders which is absolutely awesome! It is decked out in patriotic decor! They also sell doTERRA, local honey, and all natural hand salve. It is roomy and they have board games to play. The food is delicious I had the turkey and bacon on ciabatta bread. Mom had oatmeal. We both enjoyed. The cocoa was delicious, a non vegan would never know it’s vegan. They have some vegan options for food also. We will definitely be back! Go support local business! They’re located on 120 Abby Lane.

We stopped in for a coffee and bite to eat and were wowed by everything! The people running this shop are very kind, the coffee was delicious, and the egg sausage sandwiches were delicious! We had espresso drinks, which I believe is the best way to test the quality of a shop’s drinks, and we both loved what we ordered. Couldn’t find a complaint even if I wanted to! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town

Freedom House Coffee is the best cafe in Baxter/Cookeville area. They truly care about their customers, down to the option for delicious gluten free food options so there’s something for everyone. Highly suggest their Cortadito! It’s the best I’ve ever tried. I’ve even dreamt about it You won’t be disappointed.
