We have been wanting to try this place since we live close by. Stopped on our way back from the canyon and it’s a nice little diner with a gift shop. Ordered a small pizza and wings. The wings were very good. Cooked just right. The pizza was ok it could have used some more time in the oven to crisp the crust. It appears to be a crust out of a box. I was hoping for some hand made and baked crust. The staff is very friendly and since we were later walkins we looked around the gift shop for a while, while waiting for our food. Overall it’s average and maybe their large pizzas are better.

This is cute diner. We were attracted to seeing Flinstones:) We had a local brewed beer, moscato and icrecream. I don’t have pictures of the drinks since we were busy enjoying them:) The menu looked great and had cauliflower pizza too but we weren’t hungry. the restaurant and shop were clean. Alex is very polite and gracious. It was a great pleasure talking to him. The shop is also nice and has nice products at a reasonable price. The beer was so good that my family stopped at Route 66 to buy it. It is worth visiting the Bedrock historic park with your kids that it is attached to.

I’m sure this place was a lot of fun back in the day. It could use a refresh a little rundown but we were the only ones there and the kids ran around playing hide and seek for about an hour so they were happy and killed some time that’s a win. We ate some food here not too bad.

Overpriced tourist trap. Pizza had fresh toppings and was a bit better than Papa John’s, but was over $27 for one large supreme. Chili fries had , what I think was, Hormel canned chili poured on top… $11 for fries, onions and Hormel… (sigh). We spent over $80 for our party of six, four kids, and it was probably the worst meal we had during our two week vacation. Avoid if you can.

This is essentially a convenience store that sells pizza, ice cream, and frozen appetizers. The food was the typical frozen fair.

One star for the staff. Unfortunately never even got inside to taste the food, because one of the female workers came out of the restaurant to chastise and ridicule my husband for asking for my help parking the RV so that it didn’t hit their overhanging roof. From 100 feet away she heard my husband loudly directing me so he could see me in the mirror and she came out from the restaurant to shout at him not to “yell at his wife” and told me that he was “pathetic” for “not knowing how to park an RV.” Seriously? This is how you run a business?? Keep your employees in their own lane and not outside insulting customers before they even have a chance to step foot in the restaurant! Ruined both of our days, we had been looking forward to eating here but quickly and angrily left after being accosted. No thank you.

Had the bison burger and it was pretty good. Pizza was alright as well. Enjoyed the cafe ambience.

We had a great experience at Fred’s Diner. Alex working behind the counter was great at preparing our food and checking in with us while we were eating. We got the bison burger, chicken tenders, and fries – everything was prepared with care and satisfying after half a day at the Grand Canyon. There was plenty of snacks, drinks, and household items for sale too if you need anything. Highly recommend checking this place out on your way in or out of the Grand Canyon!
