I’m shocked and saddened to say we recently had a horrible experience with one of the employees here. Because of this incident, and the lack of acknowledgement or resolution offered by the owners or staff, I cannot recommend them and will not be returning.
My fiance’ and I came in on 12-6-2025 at around 5 o’ clock. We were not greeted by staff for over 5 minutes whilst waiting at the front counter. One other customer in the lobby. No one in the drive thru. Benefit of the doubt was given and we suspected perhaps they had received a large call in order.
Finally a girl sauntered through the door from the back area. She was unfriendly, and did not offer an apology for the wait, inquire as to how our evening was going, or smile. After ordering one meal from the menu she almost annoyingly asked: “Is that it?” before my fiance’ had ordered anything for herself. We ordered a milkshake that never came, so I approached the counter and proceeded to wait again as there was no one up front. There were three girls “working” at the time.
Another group of customers arrived and proceeded to wait too. We made conversation, and they asked if the burgers were good there. I responded yes, they are, but the service isn’t very good tonight. The same employee reemerged from the back area, and I inquired about the milkshake. She simply said: “Oh.” Then she had the audacity to begin taking the order of the customers that had just come in. The man who had just come in with his children told the employee that I had been first. She ignored him and took their order anyway, while I stood at the counter wondering why we were being treated so rudely, and with such low priority.
Without a word or glance she disappeared once again and after a couple minutes returned with our milkshake. “Here’s your milkshake.” Not one apology, or any professional kindness from her whatsoever. I asked her why I had to come and ask her twice about what we’d ordered, and if she had forgotten. She said she did forget. No apology. She just shrugged and smirked at me from across the counter in a vindictively unapologetic staring contest that was completely hostile, and completely unprofessional.
“I got you your milkshake.” was all she offered me.
It’s completely inappropriate for your employees to challenge customers like that, and to treat patrons dining in their lobby so rudely. My fiance’ and I packed up our food in to-go boxes and left. But not before getting her name, which is Bianey.
We returned the following morning to speak with a manager who was of no help. He was not interested in hearing our half of what happened (there are two sides to every story). He argued to me that she only made minimum wage, and that “they were trying their best”. I don’t know what money has to do with how hostile and rude you can be to customers, but I don’t think the pay rate should have anything to do with it. He went on to say that: “Maybe we’re not the restaurant for you.” Basically we don’t have to eat there if we don’t want to.
Who says that? I feel that’s a weak excuse from someone supposedly in a managerial position to even propose to repeat customers with a legitimate grievance. I encouraged him to review their camera footage to just read this rude girl’s body language. I told him that we would be leaving a negative review online and I’d be contacting the owners. I shook his hand and we once again left this establishment with no sense of resolution. “Sorry” really goes a long way and makes all the difference, and would have done so in this case as well. But that didn’t happen.
Bianey at Fred’s Burger desperately needs to learn how to be friendlier to customers. Lost us.
