The wait staff were so friendly and brought us free mocktails for our anniversary. We had our 7mo old daughter with us and they loved her as well and put up with her mess trying new foods!
We ordered a dessert to celebrate and they wrote by hand Happy Anniversary on the plate and brought us a had written anniversary card as well!
Highly recommended this restaurant!
If we hadn’t been completely misled when booking the reservation “requiring to pay the $128/pp + tip dinner”, we would’ve had a different experience.
Unfortunately this resort had VERY POOR communication, language barrier at every interaction, and misleading website (by design). After speaking to the “manager” no reasonable solution offered since we had an infant (couldnt get it packed and sent to our room, couldnt order a quick dinner (as planned) off their menu to accomodate our baby’s bedtime). We would simply be charged the $309 with no food (which I can agree with a cancellation fee for NYE). So, we sat through a SLOW 3.5 hour overpriced meal we didnt intent to buy with a crying 5mo old. For what? So the resort could cash in on their despicable “policy” they made up for one night – becuase it was NYE. This clearly satisfied their greedy tactics to get every guest to pay for their dinner but selling it as “exclusive”.
It was not clearly stated anywhere this was the ONLY food option – even the confirmation email had NO MENTION anywhere we signed up for a $310 meal and that there were NO OTHER FOOD OPTIONS available – the esso gas station or drive to Prince Albert. We would have planned accordingly.
This resort has lost its unique charm and professionalism and we will not be back. Once the manager returns to work tomorrow, we will be discussing this disaster the rest of the night was – worse if you can only imagine. Stay tuned for an honest review if the manager doesnt call us back. Happy 2026, Karma will make its way to ElkRidge Resort.
Eggs were never cooked as ordered. We paid $4 to make our pancakes chocolate, and the result was a sprinkling of chocolate chips.
Why two 4 stars?
What felt like the wrong music for the space and slightly too loud.
Portions are too large which means trying more than one course isn’t really comfortable. We hate wasting food.
However, we had a wonderful meal and enjoyed our evening.
It would be wonderful to have smaller portions on offer.
