Just returned from a midwinter get away at the Sagamore, and chose to eat dinner both evenings at Frederick’s. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the ambiance is warm & inviting. We loved the self serve popcorn. The French onion soup was delicious. The salmon was so delicious that I had it both nights for dinner. My husband enjoyed his burger. The dining experience was wonderful both evenings.

I had a great Grilled Ruben Sandwich, my boys shared a pizza they said was “the best” and they made a gluten free grilled cheese for my other son. Great service and we had a table next to a warm fireplace.

Tried to order on line for a house full of people. Web site said not taking orders. Ok fine. Drove there and tried to order and got turned away. “We shut down take out because we are too busy” says the rude guy. I said put it on your damn web site that you can’t even order when you show up. What’s the difference whether I am sitting at a table and order or I am just walking in. Won’t be back anytime soon to this place. Went to the Huddle next door and they were nice and took care of me.

Reliable place. Ususally a good experience… Sometimes super busy…. Short rib is great here.. And the hoop wings must get! The clams are a hit or miss sometimes…. Nice outdoor patio and bar… Worth checking out…

Ok we’re in Lake George in September on a Wednesday – there’s not a-lot-of love for us orphans. Frederick’s was open and a 4 minute walk away. The weather was nice enough to sit on their huge covered deck (so we never seen the inside) We ordered the steamed clams (delicious) they were out of mussels, pizza – nicely done and delicious, the real star of the meal was the clan chowder – they make it in house and by far this is the best I’ve ever had!! Service was attentive.

Visited Fredrick’s while on vacation in Bolton Landing in September. We were looking forward to the visit based on reviews and recommendations but were very disappointed with our experience, especially the service. Our waitress “L” had no desire to be there that day nor cared about basic customer service. She rarely came back to the table for refills and when the order was wrong we were told “it was not in HER best interested to bring them back to the kitchen”. The apps were good but the burgers were all dry and overcooked. We kept what was wrong as we did not want the long wait for anything to be re done. Due to the time of year it was not busy and they had plenty of staff so it was not a staffing issue.
While part of our meals were good and the atmosphere had a great pub feel the horrible customers service drove me to the 1 star.
I would suggest other places that are right down the street that have excellent food and servers that care about their customers.

Frederick’s is great. We bring a large group when we host our annual sales meeting and it’s always a casual favorite. Very friendly and easy to work with – and they have a surprisingly large menu!
