“WE ARE PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE MANY YEARS IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY. WE DO NOT DELIVER. WE DO NOT HAVE A PHONE. YOU CAN’T ORDER AHEAD OF TIME. THE MENU IS ALWAYS UP TO DATE ON THIS WEBSITE, SO IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU DESIRE, COME & GET IT! WE MAKE SMALL BATCHES, SO WHEN IT’S GONE, WE CLOSE. SELLOUT HAPPENS OFTEN. WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU!” We came to get it. In fact, we went a bit out of our way to visit this restaurant. Closed. “Professionals” would actually take the time to post online that they are closed when they do, so as to not waste their customers’ time. Selling out is great and completely understood if you have a good product. But the least this place could do is take a few minutes to update their site somewhere showing they are closed. After all, they claim their menu is always up to date on this website so why not keep the open/closed status current? Sounds like this establishment is trying to be the Seinfeld Soup Nazi of Frederick!

Went there this weekend and had an incredible lunch. We got the tomato basil soup, the avocado chickpea pita, and the butter chicken burrito and it was just an amazing meal all around. You can tell the ingredients are extremely fresh and the portions are big for the price. We took some good photos too but didn’t get one of the burrito sadly. Will go back again

I absolutely adore this place. I’ve made a habit of bringing new friends along as often as I can to experience the great food and folks there. The two lovely people behind the counter never fail to greet with smiles and are friendly and easy to chat with. They are always happy to provide a taste/sample when I can’t make up my mind and are consistently kind. The food itself is Always Top Notch. I’ve legitimately never had anything bad, and I adore that the menu is always changing, growing and evolving. It’s fairly standard to have a few soups/chili/chowders and then a few main course items, and often there are other offerings (I LOVE the yogurt parfaits!) Also a good selection of drinks and coffee! In any event, I highly recommend this place. It’s one of my favorite places to go and I usually go at least once a month when I’m out that way and they always remember me when I walk in 🙂

Absolutely love this place! The soups are so fresh and comforting and homey! We have tried 4 soups so far and loved every single one. The bread is fantastic and fresh, the vegetables taste like they just came from the garden, and the coffee is excellent! The staff are also incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s a small space so definitely plan ahead but it’s such a quiet peaceful street that even on a warm day it’s nice to eat outside. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

I have been watching and reading for months–(maybe even a year) about FREDERICK SOUPS AND COMFORT FOODS REDERICK SOUPS AND COMFORT FOODS.
Finally, my daughter and I made it in late Sunday afternoon a few weeks back for our 1st time….We were the last customers of the week for them. Adam and Kat were both SO super friendly, warm, gracious AND GENEROUS!! Let me tell You—this place is a Frederick Hidden Gem!!
We got—
Chicken Mulligatawny Soup, Sausage Corn Chowder (I think) and Blended Cauliflower with Rosemary Soup(I think). Also we purchased a potato salad with Dill and tons of onions (SO good!), cucumber sandwiches and a tuna fish sandwich.
I can tell you No One in my family had ANYTHING negative to say about anything we bought. And we have some picky people here, lol.

After riding busses all the way from Minnesota I was ready to sit down for a decent meal. Not only a beautiful restaurant, the smell was amazing and the staff were friendly and delightful! Couldn’t have picked a better spot. Will eat here again when my travels bring me this way!

Two of us shared a bowl of mulligatawny stew that was very good. The use of coconut milk added to the flavor and was comforting on a cold day. We also shared a chicken salad wrap that was large enough we didn’t need the stew. Really tasty, good use of dill and the addition of some wonton crisps or something added to texture. This is a small place with limited seating and a menu of only a few items that may sell out, but it was definitely worth the stop.

This place is amazing. I’ve been two times and got many things so I could sample a bulk of their offerings and a get a feel for the place. Everything has been great. The soups have been the stars of the meals but attention is not wasted on non-soup items either. Also, any bread I’ve gotten has been perfectly toasted. Just a little crunchy but still soft enough that it doesn’t tear up your gums. I’m not going to go into details regarding the food I got except that it’s all very very good. Just go, don’t order things you know you don’t like and you’ll be very happy.

I can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem. Adam and Kat are wonderful and the food is incredible. This is a cozy little space that is reminiscent of a warm family home. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, and it’s great to try something new each week with the rotating menu. I love all the different soups and the wraps, bowls, and parfaits are fully loaded with fresh ingredients. They sell out before closing most days, so I’d highly suggest getting there early!
