I heard a lot about this place through out the years! I have tried to stop in but for 1 reason or another it was closed so let’s dive into this review. Incredible Fantastic Phenomenal Amazing Spectacular Food! Freddy’s is the Famiglia on Holidays and your Nona’s and Zia’s all cooking pumping out hot fresh delicious food from all the Kitchens
(typically 2 in most Italian households 1 upstairs and 1 in bashement) lol
Freddy’s is like I went back to 1990’s St.Calistus St.Joseph’s table. Stop in the Food Service and Establishment all live up to its promises. You can not have a bad meal here.

If you’re craving truly authentic Italian comfort food, this mom-and-pop corner market is the real deal. It has that old-school charm you can’t fake the kind of place where everything is made with love, tradition, and recipes passed down through generations. Their Margherita pizza is perfection: simple, fresh ingredients with that classic Italian flavor that takes you back to
Nona’s kitchen. If you want authentic Italian food with old-school charm, you won’t find a better spot. Highly recommend to check it out when in the area also know it is Cash only. Traveled all the way from Aurora and it was well worth it!! The staff was super friendly!

Freddy’s Pizza in Cicero has an old-school vibe and it’s clearly a popular spot. It was packed with a line, but it moved fast.

I had the vodka sauce gnocchi and gelato. The gnocchi was tender and the vodka sauce was rich without being too heavy. The gelato was smooth and a great way to end the meal. Definitely worth the stop.

Phenomenal.
Food is authentic Italian no photography allowed. Portions are copious amounts and tender delicious was the chicken parmesan.
Gelato is an amazing piece of art just to look at. Smooth as silk creamy. I had some pistachio and lemon cello.
Even the customers are kind and courteous. I’m not in that area very often at all. But if I were, I’d go back in there!

Photos can’t capture how amazing this place truly is. From the moment I walked in, the aroma and display of fresh gelato instantly caught my attention. The food was outstanding — perfect for ordering a few dishes to share so you can try more of their incredible flavors. The staff went above and beyond, warmly welcoming us, answering questions, and even offering samples of their freshly prepared meats, which were tender and full of flavor. Every detail, from the presentation to the service, made the experience memorable and left me eager to return.

The breaded pork tenderloin sandwich definitely rivals Ricobenes breaded steak. Great sandwich. I did a review for my YouTube channel “Mailman Nick”

I stopped by Freddy’s yesterday and tried a few things—overall, a great experience with just one miss.

I had the Italian Sub, and it was absolutely awesome. The giardiniera inside added a great spicy kick, which I really liked. I also appreciated that they didn’t include prosciutto—it kept the flavors cleaner and more balanced. The bread was soft with a classic hoagie-like taste, which worked perfectly with the sandwich.

I also tried the Chicken Milanesa, which was delicious. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the breadcrumbs had just the right amount of seasoning—really well done.

The only disappointment was the jar of mixed olives. The flavor was flat and underwhelming—I’d definitely skip that next time.

Next visit, I’m absolutely getting another sandwich, probably trying one of the hot dishes, and maybe grabbing a small Italian ice to finish things off.

The deli’s in a pretty colorful neighborhood—lots of loud music and cars with hydraulics rolling through. Felt like something out of a 1980s movie. Definitely adds character to the experience.
