Food was very bland and not seasoned well. Portions are very large, though so if the food was good that would be great. Unfortunately, none of us took the leftovers home. We also got cheese curds that were fried way too long and the cheese completely came out of them so it was just fried, dry, dough. Which was a shame for Wisconsin. Server was very friendly! Maybe we’ll give them another try.

We were passing through and saw freddy’s from the highway and decided to stop. Our first impression was that of confusion as to the seating situation. You have to first stop at the bar and get a number and menus. Than you sit in kind of a staging area while you wait for your sever to come and take your order(help yourself to chips and salsa while you wait). A little later, the server will take you to the dining area to wait for your food. We were a little put off at first, but the food was delicious,the ambiance was nice and the staff was super friendly. Besides the strange seating arraignments, I thought the prices were a bit high for the type of food($38 for 2 meals and 2 cans of coke), and they do not have drink refills. All in all we did enjoy our experience and might stop in again if we are in the area.

What a great meal. Everything from the salsa and chips to the main entrees was excellent. Not only was the food top notch but the place was immaculately clean. A great experience.

My all time FAVORITE place to eat!! The food is amazing, drinks always ice cold, the price is right, the service is always wonderful & we always leave stuffed & still have enough left overs for lunch the next day!!! LOVE FREDDY’s always worth the short trip from Wausau 🙂

Very friendly staff and always consistent food. When we know we want a good meal, fast service and small talk at the bar we always choose Freddy’s! The prices are reasonable. The mini-chimi is delicious and enough for 2 meals! My favorite is the frozen drinks that are made just as fast as grabbing a cold beer out of the cooler!

Freddy’s has been in our usual dining out rotation for years and we are never disappointed. Jim, Pat and their staff are always welcoming and friendly and the food never lets us down. I’ve tried several dishes on the menu and occasionally a special. I’ve never had a bad meal. And if you haven’t tried one of Pat’s desserts, do yourself a favor and try a piece of pie. The chocolate peanut butter pie is my personal favorite. Don’t forget to try a margarita on the rocks also.

Sat at the bar for a cocktail before dinner. Friendly bartenders and they took our dinner order while sitting there. They let us know our food was ready and everything was on the table when we got to it. Wait staff checked back with us several times to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything. Food was good and service excellent. Will definitely go back there.

It used to be a good place to eat. We were really disappointed. We ordered a tenderloin steak rare and it came out rare but completely cold. My husband had ribs and there was hardly any meat and smothered in sauce. I had shrimp and got an upset stomach when we got home. We won’t be going back after this experience.

I am all about first impression, and I was not impressed. We were never greeted and decided to sat down at the first large table with our family of 7. Not realizing there was the restaurant portion in the back of the bar.
As we ordered we were offered stale chips that came in paper bags. While we ordered we were asked to give our names with our orders but never heard any other staff use our names. Although not everyone in our party was asked for our names we found this custom very strange. After we ordered we were then asked to move to the back to the restaurant seating area. I don’t understand why we were not asked until after we were offered our chips in bag and our drinks. The kids were asked to get their drinks from the bar.
We ordered 2 burritos, a kids taco meal, a burger, and enchiladas. All meals were served with either fries or rice and beans. The food was very bland and flavorless. The rice and beans were all burnt and tasted like they were from the dollar tree. The ground beef taco were gritty and the tortillas cold and broke as you lifted them. The ice tea was flavorless and sugar was never requested.
I gave one star for cleanliness and one for the open parking lot, we had a large family van with a trailer.

Freddys is worth the drive, they have amazing serve food and drinks. There staff are extremely friendly and the owners will always come over and talk with you. They are a small business but a large hearted one, not to mention there Mexican food is amazing!!! I would record this place to any of all ages and they do have a back room that is always festive to the Season which is always worth smiling for 5 out 5 would recommend!
