Friendly service, a clean restroom, and a decent burger—exactly what you hope to find on a long road trip when gas station snacks are the norm. The Cali-style burger was good for a value option, In my opinion, a clear step up from Burger Boy!

We love Freddy’s! It’s a 44 mile drive but we still go. I love their burgers but don’t like the shoestring French fries. I still eat them though! The star of the show is the Turtle Sundae. Just thinking about the hot fudge and candied pecans makes me drool! I think it’s time to go to Freddy’s!

Steakburgers? Yes. Tater tots? Yes. Frozen custard??? It’s yes yes please. Always fast and friendly. This isn’t really fast food, the quality is a whole different experience, and at a very decent price. It’s worth a few bucks more than the other guys for a very decent product. It’s part of my ritual every time I’m through to new mexico, have to stop in.

Great food. Affordable. Delicious burgers, made fresh when you order, so it can take ten minutes but it’s so worth it. Custard selection is excellent, choosing the one you want is the biggest problem. Wish we lived closer. Hope to visit again someday.

I was really craving some chili cheese dogs and a regular hot dog, but I have to admit I left disappointed. For nearly $20, I expected a higher-quality meal. The chili and cheese both tasted low-grade, and the hot dogs themselves were underwhelming — more like what you’d find at a convenience store.
Honestly, the Love’s truck stop across the street serves about the same quality (maybe even better) for nearly half the price. You can get two chili cheese dogs and a drink there for around $12, and the taste is about the same.
I really thought Freddy’s would have more flavor and better ingredients, but this meal just didn’t live up to the price tag. If you’re craving a hot dog, you might as well save some money and head across the street.

I grabbed a quick dinner here on my way through town on 9/28 around 5:30. I ordered the double jalapeño burger with a large cheese curd and a drink. The burger was juicy and spicy and full of delicious flavor. I had never had cheese curds before, so I didn’t know what to expect. They were fantastic! The outside is crispy, but the inside is deliciously cheesy and just the right amount of chewy that keeps you coming back for more! I highly recommend the cheese curds, if you like cheese of course. It was a great meal to eat on the run while traveling across the ginormous state of Texas.

Why can’t they get the orders right?? I ordered online for a friend to pick up. I ordered a chili dog without onions. I am allergic to onions!! This is the third time! Amazing that everyone else’s is correct but they always put onions on mine. Of course there’s no phone number on the receipt and no Facebook page. I’m done.
