Got one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had at Freddy’s. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect walking in, but I’m so glad I did. Jody and rest of the staff was attentive and friendly, and the place has a cool modern 1920s diner vibe.
I ordered the Prime Rib Steakburger—absolutely phenomenal. My lady had the grilled chicken sandwich, which was also very good, though the steakburger definitely stole the show.
Freddy’s is fantastic, and I’ll stop by anytime I get the chance. The only downside? I don’t have one in my city.

Delicious food! Alice rocked and explained the sauces to me as a first timer. This was a great little spot and I wish I had stopped in and tried it sooner. Good before/after a game or to mix it from hospital food.

The food was delicious. About three times, I’ve been to this Freddy’s Frozen Custard in Iowa City, and each time I had a great meal. I have no grievances. I hoped and prayed that it wasn’t permanently closed, even though I saw something that said so. A few times a year, my spouse visits Iowa City University Hospital, and we make a stop there.

We went tonight our first visit to Freddy’s and we were NOT disappointed! The double cheeseburger was delicious! The fries and onion rings were piping hot and yummy! The staff were welcoming and so friendly. I think we found our new favorite burger joint!

Continues to be the worst fast food on the strip. The cheeseburgers regularly disappoint, The shakes are inedible. The cheese curds were swimming in oil. Literally dripping with oil. I immediately vomited after one bite. Total waste of money and time after I waited 10 minutes to get my food It was cold and swimming in oil. Never again.

i gave them more than 10 minutes to get my order ready before showing up at the store. When I walked in and went to the pickup window no one would talk to me. They never said hello, never said just a moment, just simply didn’t even acknowledge me. I had to wait over 10 minutes before someone approached the counter and I was able to tell them about my order. After telling them my name I waited another 10 minutes just for them to pull the bags off the “warmers” that had been sitting there since before I walked into the restaurant. My fries were cold and when I asked if they had been there the whole time he said “it’s on a warmer” and just looked at me, I had waited over 20 minutes for food that was already done. Also forgot my sauces if I wouldn’t have checked I wouldn’t have gotten them. I’ve had several problems at this location. (Not refunding out of stock items, forgetting sauces, long wait times.)

I tried this location right after it first came to the QC because the QC location was flavorless and served an opened and re-taped ice cream treat. First Coralville visit was excellent! Today, however, they completely missed the mark. The sandwich wasn’t even completely put together, and the cheese curds were dripping with grease and extra salty–rendering them inedible. Overall, I wasted $25 for two kids meals and a combo that wasn’t even fully edible. Won’t give them another chance, as it seems like they’re very lax when it comes to customer satisfaction. Try at your own risk!!
