Freddy approves, food was good. Wanted to visit for a long time, was totally worth it, only thing that could have made it better was a free ice cream cone for sharing the best name..

We’ve been longtime fans of Freddy’s and have sung the praises of the Council Bluffs location since it opened. Unfortunately, it seems like Freddy’s is going through a bit of a *mid-life crisis* lately—still capable of greatness, but in desperate need of a pep talk (and a cleaning crew).

We planned to dine in with the fam, but were promptly greeted by a scavenger hunt for a clean table. Spoiler alert: we lost. Not a single booth or table was clean. This was around 5 PM—not exactly rush hour—so the lack of cleanup was a head-scratcher.

Plan B: the drive-thru. The order was big, and to their credit, they got it mostly right. The cheeseburgers were solid, but the fries were colder than a Midwestern February, and one sandwich came cheesed when it was supposed to be un-cheesed. Also, the Dr. Pepper was so watered down, we checked the label to see if it was “Essence of Dr. Pepper.”

The service was…memorable, but not in a good way. The drive-thru employee was friendly *enough* while taking our order, but once we got to the window, we were treated to a one-man show called *”Trainer of the Front End, Speaker of Few Words.”* He took our gift card with a dramatic “I hope this works today” and said nothing else, choosing instead to chat with his supervisor while ignoring us completely. After a long wait, he leaned out the window and whispered, like a fast food spy, “I’m not supposed to do this, but pull up by the trash can and I’ll bring it out.”

Listen, nothing says fine dining like being told to wait next to the dumpster.

We genuinely want to keep loving Freddy’s. The food still has potential, but the slip in service and the dirty dining room situation are hard to overlook. Here’s hoping management can turn things around—we’ll gladly be back if they do.

We are accustomed to making a stop at the Council Bluffs Freddy’s when we travel to Omaha. Unfortunately we will NEVER eat at that Freddy’s again. Over the last year we have had terrible service. My last complaint landed us some free coupons so we chaulked it up to a bad experience that management seemed to be interested in changing. Today they are cash only as the crude scribbled sign says. No apology. No customer service. Obviously no one that cleans. Searching for a clean place to “dine” was unsuccessful. The top of the bun on the burger was torn in half. The ice cream was subpar. The entire experience from entering to exiting was extremely disappointing and a waste of our money. It appears that management is not interested in maintaining the standard that has made Freddy’s a successful chain. Coupons would not even be acceptable at this point. We are done with Freddy’s. By the way the entry had a Christmas tree but that was all it had going for it. Filthy entry. Doors appeared to be harboring more germs than a feedlot. That should have been our first clue.

We stopped for lunch and although the drive thru had a pretty long line, it moved fast! We each got a combo meal and they were still hot when we got home. The turtle sundae was fantastic decent cheese curds too. The California burger was yummy.

I just went there a bit ago, and came home to eat my food. When I was almost all the way though my burger. I look down and it was almost raw in the middle. Now I am experiencing some lower intestinal issues if you catch my drift, and I’m not one to complain, but I called. The lady that answered was non-apologetic and asked me in a monotone voice if I’d like to come back right now and get a free order.. to which I declined and reiterated that I was on the toilet and couldn’t get off. (Not to mention not in the mood to eat what just made me sick.) She then said “keep us updated and we will get you a free meal next time.” The whole call was odd and seemed uncared about. Make sure if you go to Freddie’s, you look at the inside of your burger and check to make sure it’s not raw in the middle. If I could give them no stars today, I would. I expected at least in a kind voice, a “hey, thanks for letting us know, we will do what ever- give you a refund or a free meal, and we will talk to our staff about proper cooking procedures.” Literally all I was hoping for, but instead, got someone who literally didn’t care and even hung up on me rudely.

Love the food here. The team had great rapport, I was glad to see that. They were having fun, NOT goofing off, but worked well together & enjoyed each other’s company.

Went through the drive thru and ordered a burger patty for the pup and had no idea I would be charged for a full cheeseburger, they should have said that at the time of ordering. When I realized this I gave them the burger back and asked them to make it the way I was charged. They “fixed it” and gave it back and they just put it on a bun didn’t even put the cheese on it. So the charged me for cheese burger and gave a plain hamburger. Wouldn’t recommend this location anyway.

Freddy’s is always amazing I had gotten a spicy chicken sandwich and the original double bacon cheeseburger with fries and a water the only thing I would suggest is that they learn how to make malts better because it ends up just being more of a shake

My husband and I want to say thank you very much to the team at Freddy’s, especially Aaron, the manager and Trace an employee who both came running out to the parking lot when my husband’s wheelchair flipped over due to the cracks in the parking lot. They were most sweet, considerate and checked on us throughout our meal. They also gave us our meal which they didn’t have to do and then as we were leaving they even had somebody walk out with us asking if we needed help. Trayvon again, thank you to all the crew here and we look forward to coming back again and I appreciate it especially

First time to eat here. Ordered the classic combo. Did not care for the fries so next time oil get a different side. Burger was really good. They a line out to the door multiple times so it would seem like they would have both registered y going but they only kept one open. Hot order in reasonable amount of time and price wasn’t bad. Played older style music to match the diner theme.
