This is the cutest little place! The food was amazing. Our server, Zoie, was so sweet. She gave us great menu recommendations and was very attentive. We got the standard meat and cheese board for the table, along with the pimento cheese board which was perfect for the 8 of us. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area!

I have always loved the Freddy’s atmosphere. I think the new Homewood location is a perfect addition to the community here! I truly needed a place to relax and have a bottle of wine with friends for the evening and this atmosphere is just perfect (also a fabulous place to study and eat dessert)! The service is always professional, and I can tell the management goes above and beyond to better this place everyday. I will always be a Freddy’s stan!

My wife and I stopped by to have a quick drink on a Tuesday night. We waited 20 minutes whilst being ignored by the staff until we had to ask for two menus. Upon attaining two menus we then waiting another 20 minutes before I suggested we just leave, my wife gave the servers the benefit of the doubt and we waited again until we decided to flag a second server down who took our order (2 drinks) which took another 20 minutes to arrive at our table. When she took our order, she did apologize for ignoring us due to a miscommunication amongst the service staff about who should serve us. That would have been fine had she not forgotten about us again leading to us having to wave down our server for a third time to get our check after enjoying our drinks and waiting another 40 minutes. Maybe it was just our location in the restaurant because multiple couples came and were served and left before we received our two drinks. Unless the service ends up being better, we will not return.

This place is awesome! Really pleased they opened a second location. This is already one of the best spots in Birmingham. The decor is excellent. As expected, like the original, the food is excellent top to bottom with standouts like the burger, croque crepe, and the always delicious potato bacon tart.

We just finished a date night with friends here. The food was good the drinks are good but it was insanely slow. We got there at 6:30 and left at 9:15. It was the slowest I’ve ever been served. It was almost mind bogglingly slow. The food seemed to come out reasonably paced but the server was just so slow to come over. She took our order so slow, I think we sat there for an hour before ordering and an hour after the table was clear waiting for a check. She asked if we wanted any more drinks and we said no but she still waited another 30 min then asked if we wanted dessert and we said no, but still no check…it was just a little strange and here we are all just waiting for the check, that was just so long and I don’t know why…

We had an excellent dinner (group of 4) the other night thanks to the wonderful new Freddy’s Bistro! While we have frequented the Highlands location for years, we found this spot is much closer to home and more convenient. Caleb was an excellent and attentive server, and he went out of his way to solve some credit card snafus we encountered at the end. The large board, beef tartine, and mushroom galette were all delicious, and we shared a bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc and a rose. The only feedback we have to offer is the lack of decor- there’s plenty blank space for some posters or wall art to give a more homey and Parisian look. We will definitely be back!
