We loved our experience at Freda’s! We went for a very early dinner (so we could bring our newborn) to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the start, they wished him a happy birthday, were so friendly asking about our baby girl, and did an excellent job telling us about the menu. Freda herself even came by the table to say hello – our waitress told us Freda comes in every single day.

I wanted to like this place due to limited fancier options in Cedar Park, but the food was a miss. $50 rib eye that was the toughest I’ve ever had, even tougher than the on sale Select steaks from Randall’s. The lobster and shrimp chowder had a good bit of fresh pieces of seafood in it, but the actual chowder was not tasty. I picked out the bits of seafood and left the rest.

A nice restaurant to take a date or a friend for some delicious seafood. The menu has several options to satisfy your pallet. Freda’s is clean and organized. The hostess and servers were professional and friendly. There is both indoor and outdoor seating as well as around the bar. It even has seating for small groups. There is plenty of parking too. If you like seafood, then book a reservation and try Freda’s. I enjoyed my experience, and I believe you will, too!

Cornbread was excellent snd warm. Calamari fried just right. Hubby didn’t like the shrimp in the grits. Our server was Sophie and she was great. They did offer a free dessert because he didn’t like the shrimp.

The fried pickles were crispy and golden to perfection. The catfish platter was great, but I found out I’m not a catfish person not the restaurants fault. It’s a me problem. The staff was simply amazing & so sweet! The manager & Hunter were golden!

We’ve driven by a 100 times and we’ve read about this place for many years. We’ll, tonight we tried it out. I decided to eat fish and should have gone with the prime rib. It all looked amazing and was yummy. It was a bit costly for our budget. The owner did say hello to everyone, but missed our table. She must have seen the frown on my face when I got the bill. If we go back, I’ll try the steak. The shrimp was excellent. Atmosphere is romantic.
