I recently dined at Freda’s, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience.
The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.
The ambiance of the place is another highlight. It’s beautifully designed, making it an inviting spot for both casual meals and special occasions.
Overall, if you’re looking for a great dining experience, Freda’s should be at the top of your list!

We visited Freda’s Seafood and Steak yesterday because my dad, who’s visiting from England, was craving seafood with a local twist, and Freda’s did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious. The Southern Fried Pickles were light, crunchy, and airy. The Shrimp and Crawfish Fondue (pictured) was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, served alongside light and fluffy garlic bread.
The Crab Stuffed Salmon (pictured) was cooked to perfection, and the brussels were wonderfully decadent with just a hint of sweet spice. Everyone we interacted with was warm, helpful, and genuinely happy to be there, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. We never felt rushed and were able to savor every bite.
And the corn bread (pictured)… simply the most delectable we’ve had in a long time. There was plenty of food, even enough to satisfy my teenage son!
Highly recommend Freda’s for anyone looking for incredible food and a great dining experience.

They have an excellent brunch with made to order eggs, including omelettes and made to order french toast along with many different seafood and breakfast types of items. Overall was very good. The servers were very attentive. Everybody was super friendly and seemed to be happy to be there..

Freda’s Seafood in Austin is a total gem — especially if you’re looking for a high-quality lunch spot with great value. Their lunch specials are generous and delicious, making it easy to enjoy fresh seafood without breaking the bank.
The clams were incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared — a real standout for seafood lovers. The drinks and beer selection were equally impressive, with refreshing cocktails and a solid variety of local brews to choose from.
If you’re heading there, do yourself a favor and order the paella — rich, flavorful, and packed with perfectly cooked seafood. It’s easily one of the best in town.

I would like to extend my gratitude to my friend for inviting me to Freda’s Sunday Brunch. A well-organized brunch buffet is always a pleasure, and Freda’s exceeds expectations. The buffet offers a wide variety of choices, including fresh salmon, tilapia, peel and eat shrimp, Cajun pasta, gumbo, delicious brisket, and freshly prepared eggs and omelets. Additionally, a salad bar and dessert options are available for those who still have room. The mimosas were exceptionally large and generously filled with champagne. The crowd was small, which I appreciated, and I highly recommend Freda’s for Sunday brunch. The service was great, as the staff were all friendly.
