This place is so good! It’s located just to the side of Market square. Amazing food! One of the best Caesar’s I’ve ever had and the chicken nachos are to die for. Service is always good and there always seems to be a pleasant vibe amongst the patrons that hang out there.

I thought the food was good just wished my jambalaya had more meat in it for how much I am paying. They had a wall of hot sauce which as a hot sauce lover was much appreciated. Very cool would go back.

My 21 yo son and I went here for lunch because he loves Jambalaya. We were shocked by how good it was. Excellent flavor, especially with the blackened shrimp added. They also have a large assortment of hot sauces for you to try. The beers were very good as well… I had a Belgian and it was excellent. Highly recommend for a comfortable place to chill that has great food and beer.

Accidentally landed here when I came to buy olive oil next door. Bartender was friendly and provided good service. Our food was delecious. Prime and Proper, jambalaya, and sopping & spicy. Yum. This is a good place to get moctails and non alcoholic beer, too. Will be back again.

The soppin shrimp is absolutely incredible. My husband and I split a pound every time we come in and there is usually extra to share with the table! I also really love the chicken Cesar wrap with the blackened chicken thighs. Honestly you can’t go wrong here. I crave the red beans and rice when I haven’t had it in a couple weeks!!

Knox brew hub is a staple downtown, the addition of Fred beans and rice has truly been a gift to me. As a bartender downtown, a weekend warrior as we say, I have some long long shifts. This place is my go to for something hardy and delicious. I love these guys and you will too!

Amazing food and great service! Found this place out of coincidence since I was staying at a nearby hotel for work and from the very first bite of my VooDoo bowl I knew I’d stumbled on something great. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in town and a road trip detour if you’re not. Thanks Fred Beans & Rice, I’ll definitely be back!

We decided to go on a whim. We had a little trouble finding it of the name is actually Fred’s around. The corner service was a little slow, but the atmosphere in the friendly nature of the place was very nice. We had red beans and rice and I had a chicken Poboy the food was delicious.
