Their brunch menu is new, so I decided to make a reservation on a Sunday afternoon to check out what they had to offer since I’ve only eaten from their dinner menu. There are a variety of food and drink options to choose from for a reasonable price. I got a tea to drink. Food wise the person I was with and I got the salt cod benny, grilled foccacia, and the rib and grits. Everything was delicious. I’ll definitely be returning.

May our empty plates serve as a testament to how delicious fred. is! Our server Jessica was right when she said everything is really good! Including her kindness and patience with our questions. Tip: the pasta is homemade here. The folks who own this restaurant are also the ones working hard to make sure you have a great experience. Thank you Patsy Dario and team!

We had a fantastic dinner at fred this past weekend. The standout for me were the deviled eggs topped with smoked fish, paprika oil, potato sticks, and pickled onions – easily some of the best I’ve had. Other highlights were the salt cod fritters and the duck confit bolo on a Portuguese muffin, all of which were excellent.
Service was attentive and professional, and the overall vibe was warm yet unpretentious. It’s surprising this spot isn’t busier on a Saturday night – it really feels like a hidden gem in Providence. Highly recommended.

For my 14th Anniversary my husband and I wanted to have a nice meal and try out a new place. I was SO excited to see the owners Dario and his wife because I worked with him for years and I know the caliber of service he himself always gave to his customers. Our server Jess was a gem. The cocktails, small tapas, entrees and dessert were to die for. Here’s the kicker…..we got the bill and it was so reasonable..I can not say enough great things about this establishment. Xo (haha)…♡♡

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life! Our waitress was very nice and helpful with menu recommendations. The focaccia with agrodolce, corn dish, potatoes, and cocktails were all delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

Nice place with chill neighborhood vibes. Busy for a Wednesday, glad we had a reservation. Ordered the focaccia, smoked carrots, sweet potatoes, shrimp Mozambique, chorizo & chicken Milanese. The focaccia, sweet potatoes and Milanese were standouts for me. Server was friendly and helpful. A solid experience all around. Glad I tried it but don’t need to go back.

Loved it! Food and service are excellent. I was impressed by how quickly the plates came out. It’s my own fault for not asking, but the menu did confuse me. Items that are priced as small plates, along with items that are priced as larger plates. The focacia with bagna cauda was a great starter. My guest enjoyed the halibut cheeks, and I enjoyed the chicken milanese. I wanted more of the sauce. It was so good.

Didn’t appreciate the staff reconfiguring our table mid-meal to make room for another group. That alone wouldn’t be the worst, but the poor attitude of the server who told us that we “shouldn’t get used to the room” at our table. Ruined the ambiance of a pleasant meal.

Great food at a fair price point. Each of the little dishes that we ordered were a festival of flavors. Layers to each dish were greatly appreciated. Definitely coming back. Oh and the dessert was the metaphorical cherry on top.

Delicious meal made up of small plates and traditional cocktails. Perfect for an upscale date night. The Manila clams were incredible, especially with an order of fococcia to dip in the sauce afterwards.
