We went here yesterday for my birthday after I talked this place up to my mom all day, & I left feeling embarrassed. The waitress we had was not attentive at all. It took her 10 minutes before coming to our table to grab drink orders. We waited 20ish minutes for our calamari appetizer to come out (I suspect she forgot to put our order in, because for how long we waited, it was pretty under fried) & then it took the food another 20 minutes to come out. While waiting, I noticed the lights above flicker & dim A LOT, like someone forgot to pay the electricity bill. After we finished, it took her another 15 minutes to ask about boxes & the check. I over heard her speaking with another customer about how she only works there Wednesdays & one other night, & I think the whole experience would’ve been 100x better if we got the older gentleman with the glasses to wait on us. He seemed so personal, fun, & his table that sat down 10 minutes after us had their dinner 20 minutes before us. My food was amazing! My mom wasn’t a fan of the red sauce. Overall, I just think it wasn’t the right night to visit.

I can’t say enough good things. I’ve been twice, both the eggplant parm and shrimp fratello blew me away. Prices are very reasonable, portions are great, and the service is just as memorable and outstanding as the food. Ambiance is very cozy and inviting, great for a date night or a larger dinner with family and friends.

A little hidden gem in Avon Lake, Ohio. Friendly staff and polite hardworking employees everywhere you turn. We made reservations and they were accommodating. It’s a family friendly or date night kind of place. They have a small bar area up front with wine bottles every where, really cool vibes. The fresh bread and garlic butter are amazing. The Chicken Alfredo can easily feed 3-4 people, it’s HUGE! The grouper dish was good too. We had side of shrimp and calamari as well. Next time will save room for those delicious looking desserts. Clean and cozy spot!

Had Natalie for service tonight and she made our experience very special. Went over the menu in detail and gave us some awesome recommendations and we went with everything she recommended. Probably the best eggplant parmesan anywhere! We got a bottle of their house Chianti from Italy and it was excellent! Service is friendy, fast, with good reccomendations.
There is usually a line when they open at 5:00, so we arrive ~7:00-7:30 when the rush starts to slow down and tables start to become available.
The building is from the 50’s or 60’s and typical from that era, no windows. It has a cozy feeling.

Artichoke appetizer was interesting but not flavorful for how it looked. Linguine and white clam sauce is poor, at best. No flavor, watery tasteless broth- disappointing. The house salad had a couple of cherry tomatoes and a slice of onion- lame. The special was ravioli with mussels and basil pesto- that was good. Tables are crowded together. Nice wine list. Will try again, despite poor inital experience.

What a fabulous experience! *Please note, for weekend dinners try to make reservations up to a week in advance, then get very busy! They were wonderful and accommodated our last minute party of 6 but I think it was just “right place at the right time” and not the norm due to their popularity and delicious offerings. The food was fresh, superb and VERY generous portions. You get what you pay for…quality! The wine selection was varied and wonderful. The staff: friendly, attentive, timely and top notch. Even my Aunt, who dined with us, didn’t have a negative word or critic (which is definitely a first). The seating areas are tight so be prepared to be close to your neighbors (but in a good way but not ideal for baby seats, etc). Highly recommend! And we will be back again!
