An absolute MUST! The menu is massive, with a great variety. Delish sub sandwiches, Italian beef, hot dogs, burgers, paninis, shakes, salads, and much more. Came here with a group of 10 and every single one of us loved our lunch and wished there was one closer to Kenosha. The Fratellos Italian Submarine was one of the best sandwiches I have had in the Midwest. The fries are hot, crinkle cut, and amazing. Both the guys that got Italian Beef sandwiches gave them 10/10 reviews. They also have amazing home made chips that everyone went crazy over, and the root beer shake was next level. Big, clean dining room with plenty of seating. The order process was quick and easy and everyone was super friendly. Can’t wait to come back

I ordered a hot dog along with cheese fries and really enjoyed the meal. The hot dog was satisfying, and the cheese fries were especially tasty and full of flavor. There was an impressive selection of drink options to choose from. Service was fast and efficient, and the prices felt reasonable for the quality. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth a visit.

Passing through, I stopped to grab a quick bite. The quality was good for fast food, and the portion size was perfect for one person. They serve the sandwich with homemade Parmesan chips, which was different. I think some people would really love that. I also liked that they didn’t overseason their food with too much salt. I went through the drive-thru, and looking in the window it felt very lively, with good business, organized staff, and everyone wearing gloves. It looked like the store was well maintained.

I live over an hour away but was in the area and seen the great reviews so decided to try it out. Got a chili cheese dog and fries. It was absolutely delicious! Worker in the drive-thru was very friendly. May have to take a trip back there just to try some more items on the menu!

This is what Portillo’s WANTS to be. Fresh, quality Chicago eats out on the fringe of the suburbs. Has a touch more ambience than most hot dog stands- clean, lots of seating, great old pictures on the walls. Worth a stop if you’re hungry and in the area. Try the Italian chili if you stop by in the fall or winter.

Great food at an excellent value. Our food came out very quickly and was made exactly the way we expected it. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. There were so many tasty things on the menu and I settled on a beef and cheddar. Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area. The bathrooms are really clean as well. There is ample parking and you get a nice view of that boat dealers across the street

Food quality and taste has declined greatly over the years. Cheeseburgers are bland and need much more everything condiment wise. The onion rings are typically overcooked now and contain what looks like old mini onion and have zero flavor. I just threw the last few out. Idk what happened to this place but it used to be good.

This is my favorite place for a hot dog! Great food and amazing friendly service. I always stop by when I’m up by the lake. Spacious dining area and has an outdoor seating area. Super large parking lot to accommodate trucks and boat trailers

Great food! We always have issues with our special orders which we add NO Lettuce on some items . Otherwise the food is good. Hope they read the orders better in the future
