I ate here 2x during my 6 day trip to Venice Beach. I loved the food and wish I had one of these in my city cuz I’d go all the time.
I got the Huevos Rancheros and it was such a huge portion that I took it back to my VRBO and ate it again for breakfast the next day.
I dint try any of the coffees (I should have) but they have a fun coffee menu with creative flavors and options. Just about everyone else in the restaurant ordered one though so I assume they’re quite good.

We ate here this morning and the food was excellent, as was the matcha! You have to order at the counter, but then they bring you your food. Our food was very hot when it arrived and very tasty. We really like the breakfast potatoes. My husband had a breakfast burrito that he really liked. I would recommend for a casual bite at a reasonable price, with really nice staff!

Great service and energy, but the chicken was the driest and thinnest pieces of chicken I’ve ever had. Super disappointing cause I came in with high expectations. Also what you see in the picture was $32 before tax, pretty pricey.

Amazing Food. Me and my family loved it and we definitely be trying to come back another day. The people were just so nice and the food was so good. Even provided some water for our dog as well. My dog very much approved the water and the chicken she stole from me.

I have been to the one on Melrose, but this is my first time at the newly opened MDR location. It’s a casual breakfast restaurant, I would classify as no-frills and fast service. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you, it is not a sit down with full service sort of place. Parking is very easy because there is a large free parking lot right out front. Service is very fast so it is a good option if you are in a rush. The menu is not very large, but does have some solid options on it.
This is not this sort of place that will blow you away, but it definitely gets the job done. I would say it classifies more as good, not great, but I still enjoy it and plan to be back more times in the future because I live very close to this location. I started off with a vanilla and caramel latte, and I honestly really liked it. It was my favorite part of the meal and I would highly recommend ordering it. The flavors were well balanced, and it was pleasantly strong. For my meal I chose The Biscuit Benny and thought it was fairly good. The eggs were a bit bland and I wish the biscuit on the bottom would have been fluffier but overall it was still enjoyable. Wasn’t my favorite version I’ve had but definitely not the worst. I would recommend this place if you were in the area or searching for a really quick option for breakfast.

I stopped by Fratelli Cafe and ordered the chilaquiles with salsa verde and a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice. The chilaquiles had a balanced crispy texture, good salsa, and a generous portion. It also came with a side of crispy potatoes.
This spot has a welcoming atmosphere, and even though it was busy, service was quick and friendly. You serve your own water, and can get hot sauce from the condiments bar.

I always really appreciate a place that accommodates dietary needs and this place made the best breakfast burrito with tofu instead of eggs. Also the guy who works there (not sure if he’s the manager) is just amazing and super caring and attentive! Plus the food is amazing and the lavendar latte is yummy!
