Our waitress, Lucy was very nice and attentive. I had a gluten-free pizza with spinach and mushrooms and it was good. The crust was a bit different than a cauliflower crust, but it ended up tasting quite good. My friends had the spinach, ravioli, and the eggplant Parmigiana.

Had to call an audible today when my initial plan didn’t pan out.
Ordered a Sicilian pie, half sausage, half plain. Had a drink while I waited for my pizza, and had a good chat with the bartender Wyatt, who seemed to know his regulars.
Finished my drink just as my pizza came out. Now, when it comes to a pizza craving, it needs to hit rit. We’ll Frank’s did just that.
When I lifted this thing off the bar, I could tell it was well constructed. After the long ride home, since it seems good Sicilian pies are rare in this area, the family descended on the pizza.
I will let the picture do the talking, but I wasnt able to grab one before it was attacked. Not the best I’ve had, but this is a solid regular goto pizza for me.

I lnow this restaurant is a community staple but for a check that was over $100 for 2 of us…no alcohol, 2 happy hour appetizers, 2 entrée and 1 shared dessert, it was not an experience we would return for.
We dined on a Tuesday night. Several booths were marked as reserved so we seated at a large 8 person table. It was odd but thankful we had a seat. It was 10+ minutes before the waitress stopped by to bring water and even then it was welcoming or friendly…mostly hurried. The food seemed to take a LONG time. We ordered everything at once and by the time our entrees arrived, they were cold. We didnt complain, mostly because we were so irritated by another table who allowed their 3 year old to run the length of the room. At first it was sweet but then it didnt stop. Back and forth. The father loudly reprimanded them but it didnt deter the kids. It went on the entire meal. The only saving grace was the dessert. Lemon sorbet. Light. Yummy. Delicious.
Our experience was even more soured by the how long we had to wait for the credit card to be processed. It was crazy. Our severr was chatting it up, telling family stories with a guest who had just arrived and we waited and waited and waited.
I am sure we were there on just an off night but we wont be back.

Very small portion and cold hard bread. The tea was awful. Waitress was wasn’t great at all. Franks isn’t a great place to eat at all. As a kid, I remember when they first open. It was a pleasure to eat there. It’s a awful place to eat for the money, not worth it.

Frank’s was packed when I walked in. The vibe inside was warm but traditional, like a classic pizzeria with an almost upscale feel like an Italian restaurant. There was a neighborhood charm to it.
Since seating was tight, I grabbed a spot at the bar and started a to go order. Honestly, I’m glad I did. The female bartender was the highlight of my entire visit. She was friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. While the rest of the staff seemed a bit rushed (understandably, it was busy), she made me feel welcome and taken care of.
I ordered an espresso martini while waiting for my to-go order, and it was delicious. Well-balanced, smooth, and worth coming back for on its own. I even switched for tequila and she kept the same flavor.
Now to the food… I went with the spaghetti bc it’s supposed to be the best thing on the menu. It looked amazing when I opened it up, but unfortunately, the flavor didn’t match the visual. I hate to say it, but it tasted basic, almost canned. It didn’t have that homemade taste or flavor you hope for at a sit-down Italian spot. I did like the portion size for the price.
That said, I’m not writing Frank’s off completely. I still want to try the Detroit style pizza, and if that bartender is on duty, I’d absolutely go back just for a drink and the atmosphere. Will update if the pizza changes my mind.

Vegetarian options limited.
We had caesar’s with a vegan dressing. The croutons were stale and the institutional ground/powdered parmesan was embarrassing.
We’ve never had insalata caprese with onions before (not mentioned in the waitress’ description), the tomato slices had the tomato core in tact.
the cheese pizza was mediocre, crust unremarkable, very salty.
Very disappointing overall, altho edible. We were with guests so we didn’t want to make a scene.

Decided to have dinner here due to the awesome reviews. When we arrived we were greeted immediately by the hostess and there was a short wait for a table. Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes to be greeted by waitstaff. Every waiter had walked by our table several times and no one spoke while other tables were serviced. The manager assured us that it was all a miscommunication but it didn’t leave a good impression seeing how we were the only POC in the establishment. However, the food was AMAZING! Everything was fresh and down right delicious! I plan on going to back to see if I have a better experience and another excellent meal.

Shout out to FRANKS! I thought I was only going to have a small table of folks join me for a church social dinner. It was election night and I thought most folks would be busy. So I made a reservation for 4. When 14 people RSVP’d I asked (went up in person to talk to them a few hours before our reservation) if they could accommodate – and they said YES! We had a wonderful time and are grateful to our server, Wyatt! He was fantastic navigating our crazy bunch. The food was great, the atmosphere was fun. We couldn’t have asked for a better place.

I’ve been going to Frank’s for years now, as I live close by. A few nights ago, I was so hungry that I needed to stop there to eat. It was packed and the young man who took my order rung me up at the register. He pulled up my profile, I ordered Shrimp Scampi and let him know my preferences for the order. I had thought I should sit at the bar, since I was alone and they clearly needed their tables, so I let him know I’d be at the bar. He nodded and I sat down. The lady at the bar finished making the drinks she had in her hands and then looked and me, and asked to take my order. I let her know the young man at the register took it. And that woman was so arrogant. She let me know that she was in charge of the bar, and that if I am going to sit at the bar I have to order through her. Complete condescension. I respond except to nod. She looked up my order, couldn’t find it, and said to the woman next to her, in a really loud voice, “I don’t even know what’s going on here.” I then decided that taking a to go order would be the best idea, given that she was going to be my server, and was clearly way too stressed out. I let them know to make it a to go order and I ordered the Shrimp Scampi again. I waited and received the to go bags. She put them on the table and said, “You’re good to go.” She then turned around and faced the computer screen. I left and was walking down the side walk to my car when she chased me down and told me that I didn’t pay my bill. But it had been paid though. When she reached me, again, in a really disregarding, condescending tone (an attitude I’m sure there are dogs in a pound don’t even have to be exposed to) that she told me to wait for my check and I left without paying. I said, “Oh, I didn’t hear you say that.” I followed her back into the restaurant and when I entered the other female server gave me the nastiest look. It was awful. I guess she had thought I left on purpose without paying. I honestly don’t know what they said about me after I left, but it must not have been good. Anyway, I paid the full amount and even gave that poor stressed out bar tender a 20 percent tip. In total, I spent over $50 for that experience. Would not recommend this place. The food is very good and that family that runs it are very amiable people. But the service staff need, perhaps, need some extra support.

The server was extremely rude actually rolled her eyes when we asked for lemon and sweetener for the water. We asked for thin crust crispy crust, light cheese and mushrooms. The pizza arrived burnt servers comment “you wanted it crispy” and it was SWIMMING in salty cheese. The entire experience was forgettable and we will not be returning. Joann Robbins
