Frank’s for the Memories has the best wings, no debate needed. I always get two pounds of mild and two pounds of medium and they never miss. Real wings, cooked right, full flavor, no shortcuts. I usually do takeout and the service is always very nice and on point. Been going for years and it’s one of those places you keep coming back to because it just works. Absolute classic.

This place has been on my radar for years. Today a buddy and I were in the area at lunchtime, and decided to stop in for some wings. I’m so glad we did!
The inside is loaded with sports memorabilia – mostly Buffalo Bills stuff, but some Bears stuff as well. The owner is from Buffalo, and this place is known for Buffalo wings so I get it.
We both ordered a pound of wings with their traditional hot sauce. The sign says: “Your girl friend can handle it”, but I’m pretty sure my girl could not. They were delicious but definitely had some heat. These are some of the best wings in Chicagoland! But don’t take my word for it: Franks is in the National Buffalo Wings Hall of Fame!
Service was friendly and quick. We met the owner and he seems like a good guy. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Frank’s has been a staple in the north suburbs as having the best wings for awhile. A true flavorful sauce forward recipe with very crispy wings. A combo no one competes with.

This past February marked the very first time trying this place and I’m so glad I finally gave the famed wings joint a shot.
For the longest time I always thought this was just another Chicago style grill and that eventually someday I’ll give it a try just to compare against dozens of other similar venues.
I was dead wrong about this place, this is NOT just another Chicago grill! Franks for the Memories is special and a real gem in Mundelein. The local residents should be proud to have this iconic wonder.
With the exception of the curly fries, we all ended up ordering different items to eat which was good so I could give an overall excellent rating for the food alone.
My wife mentioned that the buffalo wings are some of the best wings she’s ever had in her life, that burger and fries were awesome and my son never complains about the chicken strips wherever he goes.
We’ll definitely be back for more great grub and I wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).

Man I freaking love this place but it always gets pricier every time I’m back. Hot wings and teriyaki wings are a must if you’re here. The classic curly fries are some of my favorites of all time. I prefer these over those seasoned curly fries. Oh Frank’s, please never change.

Disappointed. The wings were overcooked, dry, and swimming in grease. They are ELEVEN DOLLARS PER POUND. That equals 6 to 7 wing segments.
The dark parts of the wings were pieces that werent even edible, like hard cardboard. Celery and ranch is NOT included. Also got the curly fries. For some reason they had no salt, and def weren’t curly, lol. I have been on a quest for good wings in the area. This is now on top of the list for worst

Franks for the Memories has officially stolen our hearts.. again! My boyfriend and I came back for our second visit, and it was just as amazing as the first. We ordered the boneless wings and fries with cheese sauce, and everything was absolutely delicious. The wings were packed with flavor, the fries were perfectly crispy, and that cheese sauce… heavenly!
Even though the place was busy, the staff had such a great, lighthearted attitude that made the whole experience even better. They were friendly, upbeat, and on top of it all, our food came out in less than 10 minutes! You can tell they care about both the food and the people they’re serving.
We’re so happy to have this gem near our house. We’ll definitely be coming back again and again! 🙂
