I had a fantastic experience at Frank’s Diner in North Spokane.

I ordered Frank’s original Eggs Benedict, and despite being in a bit of a hurry, the wait staff was incredibly accommodating. They let me customize my order, and it came out quickly, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious.

The staff was so polite, and the atmosphere, while maybe the only downside being a bit quirky, had this really low-key charm.

It felt like a group of friends just relaxing together – perfect for a small gathering.

Highly recommend!

Definitely interesting place to eat another rail car. Frank South is better just cuz it’s a fancier car. Food still just as great. I had the corned beef hash pretty good definitely got to try the crispy deviled eggs if you like deviled eggs. Very good

Excellent Breakfast at Frank’s Diner – A Place Worth Returning To!
We recently visited Frank’s Diner in North Spokane and were absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is that of a classic, cozy American diner, and the food is simply beyond praise. It’s the perfect place to start your day.
Here is what we ordered and what we especially liked:
Frank’s Spuds with Bacon (or similar dish)
This was a real hit! Crispy potato rounds, topped with tender scrambled eggs and wrapped in perfectly cooked strips of bacon. The sauce on the plate added a nice tang. This dish is very filling and fantastically delicious — the perfect appetizer or starter.
Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy and Mashed Potatoes (or Broccoli)
The main course was superb. A crispy crust, tender meat inside, all covered in a thick, rich “country gravy,” sprinkled with spices. It’s worth noting that even the side dish (we had broccoli) was perfectly prepared, not just boiled. The portion is huge, enough to last all day!
Belgian Waffle
For dessert (or as part of the breakfast), we had the waffle. It was golden, fluffy inside, and slightly crispy outside. The scoop of butter and the glaze perfectly complemented it, making the flavor balanced and not too sweet.
Omelet/Burrito and Fruit
We also ordered an omelet with filling, served with salsa and sour cream. Excellently prepared, the filling was fresh and juicy. The fresh fruit platter (cantaloupe, grapes, orange) was a wonderful addition, bringing lightness and vitamins.
Overall Impression
The service was fast and friendly, the coffee was hot and always refilled on time. Frank’s Diner is more than just a meal; it’s a whole experience. If you are looking for a great, hearty, and genuinely delicious breakfast or brunch in Spokane, this is the place to go! Highly recommend!

Whenever we’re close we have to stop at Franks Diner in North Spokane.
Franks has a great ambiance, it’s located in a beautiful railway car it is a must stop not just for the railway car, the staff is excellent as is the food. There is bar seating and tables for four. If you have a group they have one table that will sit 7-8 adults.
They do not take reservations, you can put your name on the waiting list and they will text you when your table is available.
They have a wonderful menu.
There were seven of us but my girlfriend had Boar Bacon Benedict and I had a Florentine Omelette they were excellent.
Others in our party had Chicken and Waffles and the honored a request of Benedict without eggs.
Easy to have a conversation, plenty of parking. They are always busy so sometimes parking and getting in quick might be sn issue, all depends on the time and the day.
Sorry no food pictures, I was hungry!

Frank’s Diner is an interesting place! The milieu of an authentic old fashioned Union Pacific dining car is captivating. Your whole dining experience is steeped in a time and place when you could dine in style while click-clacketing across our whole wide and beautiful United States. The food is good old fashioned comfort food. I ordered the fish and chips. My chips were exceedingly generous and savory, however my fish was a little overdone. The coleslaw and tartar sauce were great. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with a delightful smile. You’ll love the beautiful history and craftsmanship of the interior. To think that one million dollars was spent on renovation!

It had been a while since our last visit to Frank’s, so we decided to stop by and immediately wondered why we hadn’t done it sooner. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was warm from the moment we walked in to the friendly goodbyes on our way out. It was so good we ended up going twice in one week. The first time we sat in a booth, the second time at the bar, and I highly recommend the bar for a front-row view of the amazing chefs at work. Watching my meal being prepared with such skill and professionalism made the experience even better. Kudos to the entire Frank’s Diner team! Btw my wife got the huckleberry oatmeal and absolutely loved it! (Twice!) 🙂

First time going to Franks’s Diner on the north side. Girlfriend and I wanted to try it out, I got a Boar Bacon Club, she got eggs and an Elk steak patty. Gotta say, it’s been a long time since I had a really good club sandwich, the bacon was perfect, and the turkey was nice and thick, not like the deli slices most establishments have gone to over the years. Definitely will go back again when I’m up north. Loved the atmosphere, and the food.
