1st time visit experience. I didn’t call in the order because I wanted it as hot as it could be since I had to travel 15 mins away with it. It’s good to know that they charge a 10% TO GO FEE and they also charge 4% for card transactions. I arrived at 1030a and ordered- 1 French toast platter and 3 pancake platters. I would have ordered biscuits and gravy but they didn’t have any biscuits. $70 and 2 hrs later…I got my order and they gave me 2-10% off coupons for my long wait. The food did not reflect the price and it was cold, sausage overcooked, eggs overcooked, country ham looked more like bacon trying to look like country ham and hash browns were undercooked. I paid extra for cheese but could not see or taste any. (Can you find the cheese?) On the plus side the pancakes and French toast tasted fine, would have lot been better hot, fresh and some powdered sugar on the French toast. As a Foodie ..I was really disappointed

I was really hoping to find a 5 star restaurant experience. Unfortunately Franklin’s has a lot of potential that it seems to not be living up to.
The location is great and I love that they are open all week from 8a-8p.
The server was very kind and welcoming.
This restaurant is full of amazing memorabilia and history.
Sadly the food while inexpensive did not live up to expectations. It wasn’t bad just not high quality.
They were out of burgers by dinner time on a Wed. Several Items were not available.
Suggestions: Carry a higher quality of bacon and feel free to charge more. Also please carry honey as a healthy sweetener alternative.

I drive by Franklin’s once or twice a week and finally had a chance to stop in to eat breakfast with my family. Everything was great! The SOS, pancakes, bacon, eggs, grits and hash browns were all excellent. The pancakes were huge! The prices were reasonable, lower than any restaurant in Woodbury. We’ll be back. My wife says we should go every Saturday. Our server was on point, keeping our drinks full and checking on us just enough to let us know she was there when needed, but not so much to deter from our great meal. All the staff smiled and wished us a great day.

This place has so much charm right in the heart of Warm Spring GA. This was our first time dining here, and breakfast until 3pm is what attracted us to Franklin’s. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile and took us to our table. She was prompt to get our drinks and orders. She did let us know that everything was made fresh to order and it would take about 15 to 20 mins for our food to come out. We were in no hurry. Our food came out and everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was prompt to refill our drinks and a manager came by to make sure we were pleased with everything. We will definitely eat here again next year when passing through. This little town was pleasing.

I wanted to like this place because the menu looked great. It’s great to have the option of breakfast all day. It’s a very extensive menu and also there’s a bar and beer on tap.
To start, the coffee wasn’t fresh. To tell if it’s fresh, you can add cream and if it billows up fast, it’s fresh. This cream barely hit the surface of the coffee. The pancakes were burned. Even the meat inside the omelet was burned.
My husband’s omelet wasn’t much better and you can tell by the color of the meat on the plate. We didn’t ask for a manager. Kinda seemed like this is their norm considering the low reviews already in place. We ignored those reviews to see for ourselves. That’s on us.

The location and decor are very nice. There’s an attached bar with a large outdoor seating area as well. Our server seemed nice. Unfortunately the ingredients in their signature Omelette were mostly burnt! The coffee was several hours old and not very good. But I think we may have missed the Early morning crowd as we arrived at 1000. All on all a good small town restaurant!

I feel I am being nice with my stars. The service was awful and awkward feeling. I’m not sure why our waiter is working as a server.
The food was presented well but had no flavor whatsoever.
We went outside to eat because the stools inside were wobbly and not short people friendly.
I say save your money and go someplace else if you can. We were disappointed to say the least.

This place has a lot of potential, especially since there isn’t much competition for breakfast in the area. We tried the pancake breakfast and French toast. The French toast was passable, but the pancakes, hash browns, and eggs missed the mark—I couldn’t even finish my plate, and that’s saying a lot. The coffee was downright awful; no amount of sugar could save it.
That said, I did see a young man order biscuits to-go, and they looked decent. If you have to eat here, the biscuits might be your best bet. The staff was friendly, though there was some confusion when they switched servers mid-meal.

Soooo, firstly, coffee to drink for starters…..annnnnnd the coffee was cold, I didn’t understand that. My wife ordered an omelet and asked for american cheese, but got chedder cheese? I didn’t understand that either because there is a distinct difference between the two. I ordered the SOS with wheat bread….buuuuut, I received white bread, which me and my toilet both understand that I must not eat white bread, IF you know what I mean. And I thought the SOS toast was supposed to be toasted, but mine wasn’t. White bread and wheat bread aren’t hard to distinguish between one another.
UPDATE: Order a little bit of the same food as the first visit, and the food was fabulously delicious! Coffee was hot, and the food came out as expected. My beautiful wife ordered French toast, eggs over medium, and skillet potatoes, which were delicious. I ordered the same SOS on wheat bread with sausage crumbles. The picture on the right was from today’s visit (7-27-2024).

First thing you need to know is if you need a quick in and out for breakfast then this is most definitely not the place. You can expect a 30-45 minutes wait to receive a basic breakfast take out order even if they are not busy but expect even longer wait times if they have a few customers.
Food time score: 1 out of 5
Second thing you need to know is the prices that you see listed as the first menu photo on google is not very accurate, or they have jacked up their prices recently and that’s a negative look speaking they have only been in business a short time. The listed $7.50 chicken and waffles plate is $11.95 in reality, the $5 chicken biscuit is $7.50 in reality and that same pattern goes for most of the other menu items as well so keep that in mind.
Consistency of menu score: 0 out of 5
Lastly, the food is pretty bad at least from my experience anyway. Everything was stone cold when I received it. One of the pancakes was burnt black on one side, the hash-browns greasy and undercooked pretty much like just eating thawed out raw potatoes cuts that are cold in the center, the scrambled eggs where overcooked and had a hard leather like texture on the outside with a strange burnt grease flavor; the white gravy taste exactly like the instant powder gravy you get in the cheap packets at the dollar store but the biscuit was actually OK, but unfortunately the pancake plate had to be trashed rather quickly.
Food quality score: 1 out of 5
The building was acceptably presentable on the outside deck, and did appear to maintain cleanliness on the inside at least from what I could see, the historic theme is nice.
Cleanliness score: 4 out of 5
Overall score: 1 out of 5 stars
Final Thoughts: There’s definitely a lot of room for major improvements from consistency of online pricing versus pricing in person, food serving times to quality of food served. With some foundational restaurant issues corrected and resolved the potential is there for this place to be successful but it’s going to require some serious training and management work to make that achievable. Customers are willing to pay the higher price tags for quick service and quality food, but currently as it stands this restaurant is clearly suffering in those departments at least for now.
