Overrated. Food here is not good. But the bigger problem is in the cleanliness of the place. Yikes. Ceiling tiles probably with asbestos, dingy lighting, very hostile setup. The fridge displays in the front screamed NO EFFORT. No pickles, no cookies, no extras other than chips and basic bottled drinks. Weak.

This place is gross! My first time and last time here! The place is filthy! The guy behind the counter didn’t wash his hands when picking up the ham to make the grinder I ordered. The floors are all sticky and filthy. Horrible place.

Always great. The best for the 55+ years I been going there. Best grinders anywhere I’ve ever been. You can eat twice from a half combo! Excellent prices too. Anyone who knows Hartford goes to this place. If you want a grinder this is the only place you need to know! Also the Pizza and dinners are very good and nice portions too

The food and service here have always been strong points. I’ve never had a grinder I didn’t like and the staff have been welcoming, prompt and wonderful. My only concern is that the place looks to be falling out of good condition and could use a make over. Would still go back though.

Honey baked ham is my fav! Not cheap on the meat or toppings!!! Its literally a GIANT grinder. The people there are friendly and service is great! I just wish they had raw green peppers instead of the roasted ones… which are fine as well!!

I stopped in on a recommendation from my boyfriend who has been coming here for years. I asked what was popular and I was told I can’t go wrong with the chicken sandwich. I tried to order a large for my boyfriend but was grateful I was talked into the “half”. The half was huge and the whole was enormous! The sandwich was good, but a little dry. My boyfriend told me afterward that it is better to ask for extra sauce with that sandwich. I’ll remember that for next time. Otherwise, delicious and friendly service!
