My family loves to eat at Frankie’s! I especially love their grilled cheese and curly fries! My family looks forward to eating there on their visits from Canada!!

For the type of historic, generationonally-owned/operated with all the souvenir-type decor, it is a great little place! Our first time going although my husband has eaten their food from having it as take-out by his coworker and never actually going himself in person, so that’s a great recommendation for the delicious food! Lots of things to look at. We live an hour away and we’re in the area for something else and lunchtime rolled around. Glad we went there!

Frankie’s is entertaining and truly good food. Some places try to distract you with chotckes, so you don’t notice the food but here the food is the star. Always a favorite stop when I’m in the area.

Outdoor parties are big this time of year, so I’m going to make a couple of posts of popular caterers. Frankie’s Family Restaurant is one of them, bringing their famous hot dogs to your backyard, along with hamburgers, onion rings and fries. Staff sets up a grill, double fryer, and folding tables for plates, plastic utensils and toppings.

Great Food & Great Service make you feel like Fanily every time you go. Can’t go wrong with any menu item. My personal favorite is the Specialty Dog & 1/2 Pound Cheese Burger.

Adorable little place to eat, it has been here a long time. Great pictures and knick knacks decorating the walls and great food, fast service. People are very nice and helpful. And very patient with my indecisiveness

Is this the best hot dog joint on the planet? Nope- however compared to most others in CT , it does stand out. Previously went to the mall location which sucked horribly, this is a dine in restaurant with drive up facilities. The service here is bar none the absolute best, kind polite staff, they genuinely appreciate your business. Attention to detail oriented, tons of options- had a regular dog and a #14 which is chili n coleslaw, the dog its self isn’t as flavorful as a Nathan’s dog per-say, but juicy. The sauerkraut is pretty good here, the curly fries were ok, wish the serving was bigger (think five guys).

Frankie’s has always been a bastion of joy and good service. Every time I go in it’s like the show Cheers “where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came”. The food was phenomenal as always, and the atmosphere played all the classic songs you know and love. Frankie’s is a must see, highly recommended.
