Frankie’s Crab Stand ..Is it worth the risk of having your car windows smashed..Yes! ..Is it worth a trip over the bridge…Yes! ..Is it worthy of a two hour drive…Hell Yes! With all those yes answers ..What’s holding you back, certainly not the Crab Sandwich because it a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ item!

The employees are friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere, although you don’t see the ocean. The Food is delicious. Never have I ever eaten such good fish and chips.

We stayed for the playful decor, and left wondering what could have been. Didn’t try the clam chowder (which is apparently the star of the show) , but we did order sandwiches only to find ourselves face-to-face with greasy patties that leaned more on the bland side. The garlic fries were more “fries” than “garlic”. Staff seemed friendly, but it’s a self-serve situation, so not much interaction there. The positive thing about the place was the decor. Maybe next time we’ll give the chowder a shot, but for now we’ll just say: come for the ambiance, but maybe stick to what they’re known for!

Absolutely amazing food. We got one of everything on the menu and all the items were outstanding! The restaurant was VERY clean even to the decorations on the shelves towards the ceiling were all clean and dusted. It took a little while to get our food (not that they were slow to cook it) but every time we went it was very busy so I can’t even complain about that.

10/10 recommend this place!!

We arrived around 12pm and were the first order. We both had the clam chowder in bread. It was delicious, especially the bread. We asked for two tap waters, they came cold and we could refill. The food was ready in a minute and the service was great. Would recommend

Came across this place while walking around the Pier 43 area and they advertised the famous Fishwich & best Fish n Chips so naturally had to try it out. It was crowded so had a good feeling about it too.

The place was pretty basic with quite enough seating. You order & pay for the food first and wait to be called when the food is ready. They have nice views of the pier if you decide to sit on the patio.

The battered fish was pretty amazing; soft & fresh cooked to perfection! The Fishwich was good too; they probably used the same battered fish however it got greasy + the bun made it too heavy to eat the entire sandwich.

You get good value for money here! Would visit again if I am in the area.

Garlic and fish? What more can you ask for. Delicious food cooked very fast. Reasonably priced. Whether you want clam chowder, traditional seafood or fried goods this place is awesome. The most garlicy garlic fries I’ve ever had. Incredible food with tasty ingredients. Hot and fresh with a nice atmosphere by the water.

Frankie’s Fish and Chips were great! The fish was high quality, and nicely fried. The chips were crispy how I like. and the beignets were so delicious, especially the sweet whipped butter they came with.

This is really only a 3-star fast casual experience. I didn’t like how unsustainable their ketchup and tartar sauce packets were. They get all over your hands when opening, and create a lot of waste. I wish they’d just have self service ketchup and sauce dispensers.

Excellent food and a nice big dining room! Also surprisingly good prices for being in such a touristy area. We were checking out the Musée Mecanique and because it was raining as we left, we wanted somewhere inside to sit and eat. Boudin next door was a ZOO, and we were in the mood for some fish and chips, anyway. So we headed over here and were not disappointed! The fish was fried perfectly (even with panko-style breading, it was seriously perfectly crispy–didn’t get soggy even with lemon juice squeezed across it), the garlic fries use fresh garlic, and the clam chowder was seriously some of the best New England style chowder I have ever had. Plus the dining room is eclectic and fun, and there is a great view of Alcatraz Island from the back windows. A really picturesque place to sit and have lunch.

We will definitely eat here again when down in this area. I was shocked at how not busy they were for how good the food and prices are! Come try this place!

Overall great experience, I’m not sure if they had a limited menu because I came during closing hour, but the clam chowder was very good, creamy
But not too heavy. And there was a lot of sourdough that complemented the soup. The staff was very nice and they made the meal quite quickly. The views outside were very pretty and they had a bathroom inside. Good time here and definitely a good bang for your buck restaurant.
