So this place had an intriguing menu, and i wanted to break up visits to the steel grill. Rolling up, my first impression was one of doubt. I have been to plenty of excellent restaurants that didn’t look like much from the outside, so in we went. Once inside, I awkwardly stood there for a bit while being quietly surveyed by the locals because I couldn’t hear what the waitress/bartender said when I came in. She seated me shortly after though.
I ordered a rack of ribs, chicken gizzards, and fries. I found the ribs tasty, but overcooked a bit. They kind of disintegrate when you put them up, and I would have preferred something that held together better. The fries were great, and the gizzards were also good. My only gripe about the gizzards would be I would have preferred ranch dressing to dip them in, as it goes better with them than the included cocktail sauce in my opinion.
Inside, the atmosphere was similar to the steel grill, in fact, I found many similarities between the two places. I wear noise canceling earbuds in noisy environments, and I thing that threw off the waitress a bit.

Came in for lunch after hunting waterfowl all morning. For a bar and grill, they have an excellent selection of entrées. I had the 2 chicken breasts loaded with onions, mushrooms and pepper jack cheese. I wasn’t disappointed. The breasts were tender and moist and seasoned perfectly. I had onion rings on the side and they were delicious. The glass of beer was cold, just the way I like it. Our server was fast and efficient and when served our food was hot. Great place for lunch and a cold beer, definitely recommended! You get 5 stars Frankie!

Nothing bad here and nothing spectacular here. Pretty much average all the way around. Pretty fair prices, okay service and our food was okay. Salad could be a little fresher (probably pre-made sitting in refrig for a while) and would have been nice to have a drink refill offered. Typical friendly hometown atmosphere.

Service was fast and polite. Food prices were inexpensive, especially considering the amount of food you get. The food…….. I had a burger and it was the best damn burger I’ve had in a LONG time. Think so big you can barely take a bite and messy. If it isn’t messy, it isn’t a good burger. To top it off, it’s fresh ground beef that taste grilled to boot. All for like $12 and that includes a side too. Plenty of drink choices and tv’s if you’re wanting to watch something. Id for sure eat here again if I found myself 4 hours west of home again.
