The best of this plaxe is the atmosphere that really takes you back to a fancy time, service was excellent and attentive, good was great as well, we order the porterhouse for 2, plus 2 Sides with 1 sauce, we were not able to finish the whole meal due to being so much food, the steak was cooked perfectly to a medium rare, only reason why we gice 4 stars is because it lacked a lit bit of seasoning.

I’m going to keep this short.

We went to Frankie & Johnny’s around Christmas time and ordered the porterhouse for two. It was $165. It was filled with fat, tough, and undercooked. I wanted to be fair, so I called them and told them about it, and they comped me the $165.

I went back yesterday to give them a second chance and ordered a veal chop. I’m going to show you a photo of what came out. My girlfriend ordered the Chilean sea bass. When it came out, it looked like a ShopRite special, and today she’s sick in bed with what seems like food poisoning.

This place might have been good years ago, but right now it’s terrible. They should put themselves on the bench. I’ve tried both locations — this was the 37th Street location. There are much better steakhouses in the city. They should take cooking lessons at Old Homestead or Council Oak, just for starters.

You mess up one time, I’ll give you a second chance. Mess up twice? Shame on me.

Superb steak – easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Steak was cooked to perfection, as were the potatoes and other sides. Desert options were also amazing – honestly everything was really good. I wish I had the time, money and stomach space to try everything on the menu. Service was excellent, atmosphere was really nice.

The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with ambient lighting. The food was pretty good but not worth the prices I would say.

Good Service, Slightly Moo-ing Steak

The service here was good! They happily accommodated our party with a 3 month old baby , gave us plenty of space, and made us feel welcome. The food was decent, but our porterhouse was a little too close to its past life on the farm—slightly undercooked.
Still, with such friendly staff and a good atmosphere, we left happy.
Would come back, but might bring a meat thermometer next time!

High end dining experience.

Great steakhouse with excellent service.

Came in for a family anniversary dinner and were very pleased. It’s the kind of place where they do everything well. My steak was perfect.

It’s an expensive steakhouse, but worth it.

High end meal, quality service, cool vibe.

Absolutely fantastic in every way!! Filet was so tender and delicious, lobster bisque, and shrimp scampi all very good. Service was exceptional! So many waiters coordinating together, very well done gentlemen. We enjoyed our evening and will definitely come again.

Food is as good as I remember from my office lunches pre-pandemic. Had various sides and apps and some surprised me with how well they were made, particularly the lobster ravioli. And most importantly, the ribeye was solid.
